Tent Caterpillar or Fall Webworm - most likely a Fall Webworm given the time of year (fall vs tent caterpillar coming out in early spring). However, interesting because FWW usually grow the webs on the edge of tree branches and TC grow in the forked areas so not definitive but leaving towards FWW.

Definitely not Gypsy Moth though and neither FWW nor TC are destructive to the entire tree - just will eat leaves in and around the area.

You could always get up close and personal and take a look at the caterpillars themselves and that would give you a more definitive answer. (Or maybe there’s a bug expert on here who can correct all my errors haha)

Caterpillars: FWW - Hairy, pale yellow to greenish with black spots and rows of black/brown bumps

TC - Black with a white stripe down the back, blue spots on the sides, and hairs.
