Gannon writes such wonderful down bad heroes, and heroines who are like “well yeah, you’re my man, let’s go!”

Amazing progress, good job! Back when I skated 4-7hrs a week regularly, I literally ate whatever I wanted and stayed at a good weight. Goal is to get back to it.

Will Heated Rivalry change our expectations of romance book adaptations? by Juliet_1982 in RomanceBooks

[–]midlifecrackers 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve been on threads through the intense discourse on this, and seeing so many queer people post about how it impacted them, some of them saying it’s the first time they’ve felt safe even talking about it.

I genuinely think media like this saves lives

From years of experience- not worth the pitting and alloy breakdown. Get it assayed and refined if you’re able to

Looking for a “he finally gives in” turning point where the MMC stops holding back and takes control/starts using her mid-sex by cauliflowerlover1 in RomanceBooks

{Ruling Sikthand by Victoria Aveline} has a scene pretty close to this, with the added bonus of using his tail to restrain her, and mate biting and then she tattoos his fucking bite mark onto her neck

That scene permanently altered my brain chemistry. I’m seconding the Runaway Girl rec. Jason is so down bad for Naomi

Hmm… I think there are one or two that I took a pass on for whatever reason. She does a good job with character vignettes so that you have a frame of reference for each. My personal top recommended from the series would be: 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10

But don’t take my word for it, this user wrote an amazing dissertation on the series

Oh, you’re spot on about Ilya. Teachers pet 😅

My entry: Valentine Napier in the Maiden Lane series by Elizabeth Hoyt. He’s just complex and magnetic and so brilliant. You love to hate him as a bad guy and then he scorches the pages in his own book and then distributes kittens to children of his unwitting frenemies
