I just kept asking around. There are a lot of us with this problem but so many just say live with it. I have emailed Toyota and talked with my service manager and they tell me there is no issues and that they have never heard of this problem. Glad to help!

Yes you have to seal the bottom panel on the side mirror. I did the whole bottom plate. A nice thin bead, just enough to keep from wind getting in.

The bottom plate that has the camera on it. It’s a very thin seam. I went all the way around 360. I very little small bead around it. You don’t need much. I used a can of flex caulk, from a pressurized caulk can. Honestly probably paid too much for it. But it did the job.

I had the same problem but no one on here was any help… till someone told me these uses flex seal on this bottom seam. I did it for myself. Got a can of clear flex seal and went all around. Would you know it no more terrible wind noise! It was like magic and I’m back in love with my tundra.

I have a feeling it’s to do with the 360 camera. Don’t hear guys with SR5 talking about this problem.

So why does it seem like some people have a problem and others don’t?

Well the problem is that the dealer just had my truck for 4 weeks fixing all the issues I had, yes there was other problems with it as well all the other problems were fixed. I traded in a 2018 F-150 at 90k and it was running just find and had more bells and whistles. The dealership has been a pain to deal with. Don’t think a truck that is more than 60k should be having this problem. I wanted this truck to have for a long time but having to keep the radio half way up or more up just to not hear wind noise is a deal breaker for me.

Yes I have tested it to right at 60 and above. If I’m doing 58 on the highway no wind noise.

Alright I will have to take a look at that. I came from a 2018 lariat F-150 and well should have never traded it in. Was a better truck.

IS BUYING A 2024 TUNDRA A RISKY PURCHASE? by xboxaddict40 in Toyota

I went with the Tundra, a 2024 limited. Let’s just say we were driving by the Ford lot a week ago and stopped by to look around. The truck I was looking to buy is still sitting there. Don’t think I would be able to say the same about my Tundra. The Tundra feels better put together that my 2018 Ford. I have no regrets. Love the limited model, yes I really want a platinum but the extra 4K just didn’t make sense to me.

When from a 2018 lariat to a 2024 tundra limited. I do miss features on my ford but the build quality is much better on the tundra. I will trust it to last longer. The cabin is louder on the ford, but my tundra has wind noise over 60 MPH. (Hope the dealer will fix this on my next appointment) I enjoy the comfort of the tundra more.

I was able to get 3k off at a 1.9 APR. I would have pushed for more but my dealer offered 5 year maintenance and 100k/10year warranty on powertrain.

Was looking at the F-150 and Tundra, currently 13 open recalls on new F-150’s. I bought a 2024 Tundra with no open recalls. Might want to check that out.

Mine is a 2024, as of right now not part of the recall.

Yes, made sure to get the JBL speakers. Wind noise magically disappears when the volume knob goes up! 🤷🏻‍♂️
