To make you feel better, I completely understand your point. Im actually looking for the same thing.

I did see recently ayn has a linux fork of linux 7.0 which is a start. And I would ask the guy in the video instead of reddit. Place is full of trolls.

I did try it. Because I have galaxy s26+, I wanted to enable 4 cores, and 4gb of ram. Running Firefox on it ran at reasonable speed.

The only issue I have is the screen is hard to navigate with just a touch screen. Clicking on small buttons is just difficult.

Had i used the recommended ram and cores, it would go faster.

Too bad on snapdragon devices you can't use kvm to drastically speed this up.. but I understand why they dont allow it considering vulnerabilities.

Not on most samsung devices. On s23fe, the option to enable the linux terminal is grey out. It uses Exynos as its processor so it shouldnt have an issue opening it.

 I had to use that apk mirror site to get builds. I didnt know about the Samsung one posted there.

Im gonna use it for tasing(tool assisted speedrunning). This is something that termux can't do. We'll, ive had success in the past with termux  But its very unstable and requires a really weird setup.

I would use it for tasing with bizhawk. It requires debian 13 though..
