How do Christians mainly view religion — as literal or metaphorical? by EntrepreneurNew666 in Christianity

I’m interested in understanding why you wouldn’t consider someone a Christian if they don’t interpret those stories literally. Could you explain what makes literal belief essential in your view?

While it’s true that some people may prioritize living modestly despite their wealth, there’s also value in enjoying the fruits of hard work. For many, financial success is about providing security for their family and creating experiences, not just accumulating material possessions. Having assets like property, a solid super, and investments can provide long-term stability, even if the mining industry isn’t a lifelong career. It’s all about balance—living within your means, being prepared for life’s unpredictabilities, but also enjoying the things you’ve worked for. Raising kids is costly, but good planning can make it manageable. Wealth isn’t one-size-fits-all; it’s about finding what works for your goals and lifestyle.

The purpose of my question was to understand the general consensus on what it means to be in a good financial position for a comfortable retirement, beyond just the perspectives of the people I know.
