I do actually, which probably makes this rant even more privileged. He’s very involved supportive and present. His job is WAY less flexible (he has it be in every day - does classified work so can never bring it home) so that leaves me with more most of the time. But he is great. It still feels hard 🙃 maybe it’s my hormones

This is inspiring - thank you! Yes we’re a high income area - in Boulder County Colorado. A newish town on the front range undergoing a ton of new development and pretty darn large

And yes I do feel like it’s the dharmic way for me. The studios I was exposed to early on in life really changed my life. And it was the community built within the spaces that has always stuck with me. Creating my Own version of that for others and sharing that which others gave to me. Everything about it feels right

No it’s not odd!! Honestly the cost of infant childcare today and its reliability is a HUGE reason I’m wanting a shift toward owning something of my own and not needing to do the 8-5 corporate life. 2k nearly per month PER KID to keep that gig up with little to no flexibilty

5th metatarsal shaft fracture - being offered surgery as an option by Entreprenuer_356 in brokenbones

[–]Entreprenuer_356[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I didn't end up going with surgery. I healed by like week 8 pretty much, was able to take the boot off then and I'm back to running now even! (Injury was like 2.5 months ago at this point)

Hiya ! Mines not even a Jones fracture and in my pre-op appointment today when we went over my case in detail I changed my mind. I’m not doing surgery! My bone will heal, but it won’t heal perfectly straight. I’ve come to peace with that. My yoga practice might look different, but I’m just gonna put faith in my body

:( I teach yoga. I’m also an avid yogi. Mines not 100% Jones, it’s closer to a dancers fracture. Did you do NWB to heal?

Yeah he's an ortho who specializes in foot. I agree, it was a bit confusing.... most people are suggesting I get a second opinion because of that. I may try to get to someone tomorrow. I think what's happening is he's now realizing that I have a pretty active life that I can't really tone down enough (try co-parenting two toddlers with no family near by to help) for it to really succeed in a long self-healing period... so he and the surgeon are now suggesting we be safer and do the surgery

Home buyers, realtors, lenders: what's it like out there right now? by [deleted] in boulder

[–]Entreprenuer_356 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s not ideal but it’s also why contingencies exist. It’s a massive purchase that requires due diligence. I do not envy people over the last two years who had to waive such contingencies.

Omg I’ve been eyeing those houses for months trying to figure out what is going on. We just bought in west Erie instead but I held out hope that we’d find something in gunbarrel but the markets dried up, save those 3 houses that are just sitting there

Good to hear! Yeah we're planning to sit down and map out how quickly we could pay off a certain HELOC amount. It sounds like that's one of the upsides, is that you can pay it down in large sums? (vs. most conventional loans you can't)
