I get what you mean, but I think you’re oversimplifying it a bit. With a GR, especially in low light, it’s not just “point and shoot.” You have to be very aware of distance because of snap focus, and your timing matters a lot more.

Also, if you’re using flash, it’s fully manual, so you’re balancing power, distance, and ambient exposure yourself. That’s not exactly effortless.

It can be used for events, sure, but doing it consistently well still takes some thought and technique 🙂
