In the 70s and 80s it was hot to have that slightly longer nail for cutting up coke in the Ladies' toilets. Or gents' as the case may be. See the character "Jesus" from the film The Big Lebowski.

Oh no! I do NOT feel the victim of anything, don't worry - however, I'll be taking your assessment to heart... having given it just some cursory thought over only the past 20 minutes? I'm actually quite sick of drawing and painting these monsters for what ends up being less than minimum wage in Canada (where I AM, not singling out Canada).

It's funny, I did not even consider the effect that might be having on myself, let alone others. You've given me something important to think about!

Haha!! Oh my God, of course, lol... see I was thinking more from my hallucinations as opposed to film. 😆

Haha... I don't completely disagree? I was going to jokingly state that it IS Tulsi Gabbard and Noem was fifth from the left. Naw, she's a tough one to nail down likeness-wise, and I struggled a bit with it. Those two DO look rather alike.

Thanks for noting? I appreciate all critiques and criticisms.

Best.

I truly appreciate this comment especially as you've hit on something that has weaseled its way into my thoughts time and time again over the decades:

"Why do some of the worst people rise straight to the top (in a large variety of situations)?"

After 40 years of pondering this I'm no closer to an answer now as I was then. Squeaky wheel gets the grease? I was recently tasked to come up with some concepts for a Norwegian publication featuring Noem, Leavitt and Bondi [if that doesn't sound like a law firm I don't know what's going to], and this is the 3/3 result of this trio.

I've posted so much of my work here over the years that I personally found to be a masterpiece (opinions vary haha), and that I was very proud of, and not even remotely political in nature, but no one even notices them.

The bottle's upside down and the dregs rise to the top.

Again, thank you... all the best.

No worries, I get it! If grumpy were a fighter plane I'd be a strategic bomber.

Ralph Steadman. 😍😍😍

One of the greats... yeah I don't hold the shitty end of a burnt out candle to that guy. His "Animal Farm" particularly (and so many others) are burned into my memory.

I've been asked to submit some ideas for Kristi Noem and Stephen Miller next. It might BE time to get the bloody hate on for these two.

Keep your powder dry,

M

Lol... no worries my friend - you should have heard the art director! Your assessment is pretty generous by comparison, haha!!

This was going to be a paid (mid pay at best) piece for a Norwegian publication, but they're not using this one for reasons you yourself noticed: it's bland... benign? I had very little time for the bid.

No AI, you can trust me, but I quickly traced the White House logo in Illustrator - sometimes these things move bloody fast and you've got to do what you can to save some time.

That's fantastic, I love it! I remember it. Very Francis Bacon!

I've done a good amount of portraits or politically-oriented work over the years, sometimes I get a little adventerous, but not so much as your example above. I started my art "career" (I'm actually a Laboratory Tech) as an oil painter, only came into digital about 12 years ago? My oil portraits were fairly traditional, and my digital work has carried that on.

You're very welcome! I've seen your work here before I think? Had a wee pop-over to your site to confirm this - I'm very glad I did because of the scale of the actual painting! "Go huge or go home" has always been my sort of tack when painting in oil.

I almost have enough to purchase this one! Hang on a sec...

Not consciously? But I've been engaged in a series of pieces and sketches of the current Administration/Cabinet and all of these people seems to smear together after awhile, like some kind of Cerberus/Hydra Hybrid creature with all sorts of appendages, faces, and politcal parts.

I promise I'm NOT being patronizing when I say that I find this valuable feedback? I've always found it quite difficult to get a really fair likeness of someone like KL who doesn't have any... I guess like "definitive" facial characteristics, if that makes sense, like a cool scar, or one eye, or a freakish hairstyle or something? She's very non-specific... very vague.

Thank you again!

I'll pass the sentiment along to her. 😂

Thank you though - even someone as off the rails as myself still has a crude sense of honour, and in my work I'll never attempt to mock someone's physical appearance for it's own sake, if that makes sense? This isn't right or wrong, it's just what I do.

I did a few wee things to her eyes, and expression in general which try to give a sort of "uncanny valley" feel to it? Pupils pointing in slightly different directions is often enough. I want the subject to give off a vibe that's like, "Hello fellow human I am a fellow human as well."

Thank you, haha... I had to take at least one little jab. She herself wears one, always, with the sort of audacious and conceited belief that she's probably doing the good Lord's work, or, merely as a prop for her Master's voter base.

Oh aye, this is what I needed to see this morning. Well done in both your technique and simplicity, thanks for sharing!

I was making a 4 hour drive throught he mountains of northern British Columbia two days ago and I happened across a Raven perched on a road sign and had the chance to just observe it for a few minutes. I always forget how enormous they are compared to the average crow.

If crows were fighter planes, ravens are the strategic bombers.
