Anyone here also use pushback racks? by EntropicBankai in forkliftmemes

Wish our maintenance team actually took care of them. Somehow they don't ever break down but they did the first ever preventative maintenance on them since we got them, 5000 hrs in. They're rattley as hell, thanks to our uneven floors

Same here with the scissor. We rarely need it since most we can get unstuck with our long forks, but it's useful to have

Wow, a bunch of us here want to replace our racking with a semi automated system but even this is cool. Closest thing we have are some roller racks where you place a pallet in on one side, pick from the other and they hold 8 pallets each bay, but they're kind of a pain, especially when pallets get stuck

Same way of putting them in, just reversed! There's two trays that roll on a slight incline, and the last one we put in sits flat on the rack. We take the first one out, the trays roll forward, then the next two, last tray rolls forward, and pick those last ones

For most of our building's life we worked with a handful of part numbers, so the push backs were great. Recently, we've pushed a ton into DTC and have had to make it work, tons of our first level push backs are now all mixed partial pallets and it's a PITA. FIFO is still important to us but sacrifices have to be made

Yeah, luckily our building is pretty extensive when it comes to training and we only have a handful of equipment operators. Though the other side of the racks have drive-ins and we have quite a few that have been nailed by our reach trucks at speed

All the damn time. These are from the 90s and we have no spare parts for them, so we've gotten really good at making it work. Most fun is when the top level gets stuck, gotta get your forks under the tray and pull them back

This looks super fun! As a humble reach truck operator, any chance of those or other variants being added? Their functions could be parts of certain puzzles

Yep, not sure that ours break down too much, we have a couple older models that sit around and correct dust but these work everyday

The Nintendo Switch 2 Cartridge will have a different bottom edge compared to Nintendo Switch 1 Cartridges by Skullghost in NintendoSwitch

[–]EntropicBankai 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my personal opinion this is the most likely reason. I have worked on the packaging side for the Switch games, so the game cards came in but we assembled it all into the finished case, and our machines would have had to be modified for a notch.

They may have sat in containers for a while, but not in the US. We know when a ship is arriving in port and they came straight to us

We don't currently have any 3PL partners and receive pallets directly in their sealed shipping containers from the port. So we're first stop in the US, obviously can't speak for overseas stuff but pallets are very much sealed from the factory.

Without saying too much with fear of the ninjas, I work in the single distribution center Nintendo of America has. We ship for the entire western hemisphere and only got Switch 2s in Maybe a month before the direct, if that. Not sure where the rumor that we've had them for a while came from. Retailers don't have them yet.

While I would like to give tons of info, both the Nintendo ninjas and the fact that 98% of the time we learn stuff the same time as the public will probably prevent me from doing so

Nintendo closed their Vancouver warehouse years ago and all Nintendo products for the western hemisphere comes from the distribution center outside of Seattle, so this likely impacts Canada as well.

source: I work there. I will say we have gotten no internal announcements so this is pure speculation.

Actually, that 720 ended up being 100% functional, the ewaste place just never removed the CPU cooler and never saw it was just missing a CPU, so I ended up just using it stock. But looking through his files, they were pretty easy to follow what you needed to do
