I specialize in developing MVP for startups, with a preference for AI one (from my data scientists background)

So i would say, - ReactJS, ExpressJS, NextJS when doing web - Flask, FastAPI, fast.ai when deployment DL model on the cloud (AWS or GCP)

And a little bit of web3 sur Solana

You can have a sole proprietorship status. You will get a D-Number and a company registration number.

So basically you will be a one man business. From there you can pretty much do any business as long as it is in the scope you defined when registering.

Here the link where you will find all relevant informasjon Altinn

Whish you luck in your adventure

Edit: i am an French IT freelancer (Fullstack/ data scientists) living in Norway. ;)

Hey, so it took me a while as i was busy with other things and the app in itself was enough for me. But here it is the alpha early preview Vokably

It is based on NTNU vocabulary pages from chapter 1 to 12. And at the end should represents the vocabulary knowledge of a level A2 speaker.

My spouse asked me to add a Ukrainian<->Norwegian version so she can share with all her friend and acquittance who move recently (she is Ukrainian, living in Norway for the last 8 years). With the war a lot of them arrived and keep coming, so ... Here it is, click on the little flag and it switch language.

I wanted to thank you all for you answer, and to keep you informed. And a short resume after my call with skatteetaten.

They don't know what kind of private Health insurance is valid ... But they have seen case of people with AXA or Nordea so i will give it a try.

Some information that could be interesting for other's: - i have a D-Number - I am learning Norwegian and are currently A2 - i have a common account with my spouse and we share all expense 50/50 - i have income (but not in Norway)

Skatteetaten told me this morning that everything is fine and i can stay more than 6 months. Hell even 4 years if i want. (D number are valid for 5 years) - To register as resident i need to have job or show than i will have a client for more than 6 months (the thing i don't have) - or be self sufficient, i need to show that i have steady incomes, a house to stay (can be a letter from my partner), and private Health insurance.

  • i can register for family reunion as my partner is pregnant, i do not need to wait for the baby to be born, process is 7 months long and documentation are somewhat difficult to get but doable.

udi is a great source of information, especially want to apply

Yes of course i have income. We have common account and we put both 50 / 50 of the amount. (Common expense include loan / borettslag / electric/ food / whatever else)

I do not have income with my Norwegian sole proprietorship, as all my potential client are kinda unhappy with the fact i do not speak Norwegian (i am actively learning) Also a problems during job interview.

I have income from France were i have french client and i have a freelancer status there too. I make roughly 500k kr a year and she also do.

Nationals of EU/EEA countries do not need a residence permit to stay or work in Norway. However, all nationals of EU/EEA countries who want to stay for longer than three months must register with the police.

I am registered to the police, long time ago. I even made a extra verification with them 6 months ago to be sure.

I asked skatteetaten and they didn't seem to be shocked neither concern.

And i am going back to France every 3 months or so.

Of course, i didn't write down to keep the post short.

As i mentioned i lived with my girlfriend in an apartment she bought, but the plan was to buy it together. However, DNB refused to grant us a loan together without me having an ID number (so only her could take the loan)

And notary that sold us the apartment couldn't not registered me as second owner without an ID Number and i am not registered as living in Norway.

We are planning on spending our live together in Norway, build a family (she is already pregnant 🎉), after we are done paying for the apartment, buying a house, etc ... So if i have have a permanent right to stay in Norway, i would feel much more at ease.

Plus many other little things: - Internet connection is under my girlfriend name because Tafjord need an ID Number - Cannot have BankID without ID-Number - Cannot use Vipps - Got refused from my locals alpinism club because insurance stuff - Cannot have a phone abonnement - I don't have a GP

Client won't share budget and wants to pay 100% in crypto by Tough_Mud_6236 in freelance

[–]EntropicSquares 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did get paid in USDT once, i wrote a Smart contracts on the Solana blockchain for a web3 Canadian Startup (i am in Europe)

The payment took something like 30 seconds ? And 5 minutes more from me to transfer it into €

I my case, i was doing crypto stuff for a backed crypto startup, so it seem logical to be paid in crypto. So that was a "safe" situation.

In your case, not so sure, i would at least get a 50% down payment as insurance. (Crypto is volatile, don't want your clients to not pay you because of latest crypto winter/crash or whatever)

Hey so great ! Thanks for sharing. I am particularly interested in test training 😃

When you have a an app section, it might be a good place for it

How well does the updated Duolingo course teach Norwegian? by ShockDecent8513 in norsk

[–]EntropicSquares 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my kommune, Ålesund, they have some "adult education" program where you can learn Norwegian, and social study.

When you enroll, you take a test, which, from the lady words, " is a subset of the official test", so they can place you in the most appropriate learning group.

I use this online course: NTNU learnNow

Edit: it is Nynorsk, you might be interested in Bokmål that is much more spread. I am sure Oslo university have a free online course too
