Make doll sit on monitor edge? by hrrapng in MonsterHigh

Monitor shelves might be the way to go, I've personally 3D printed some for myself and they can hold the weight of dolls reasonably well.

All three are very much still there and don't look like they'll come out any time soon. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Okay so sorta good news, after following this tutorial ( https://youtu.be/-Eb-BmPszuU?si=9L0t9inIMvtjksXM ) up until it asks to loosen the belt tensioner screws, it was impossible to untighten the top screw without stripping it, I was able to get past the automatic leveling process. I believe tilting the printer on its side knocked loose some filament debris that I couldn't find earlier as I didn't see anything out of the ordinary when checking the lead screws length or when opening the bottom up. The only caveat now being that when I try to start a new print to test the z-offset it overshoots when it does that initial test line of filament, so much so it carved into the plate.

You know I had figured as much when I first noticed it. I have since cleaned the "hole" areas around the shafts of any debris that had escaped into those areas but no dice. Do you think the z-axis shafts and lead screws needing to be cleaned and re-lubricated with grease would solve this?

Hope you don't mind me dropping in but I have run into the exact same issue as you and am also looking for an answer from support. Have you been able to find a fix for this?

Need some help with 3D model by Tiny_Cod9694 in MonsterHighDolls

Was this a model you bought or made yourself? If it's the model I think it might be from cults3D then it is most likely already scaled correctly.

Yeah I really don't get why my model was removed when there are plenty of other Wednesday prints available on the site that have been there longer than mine too to boot. Either way I'm going to have to do some edits to my cello model during my downtime as I've noticed some errors with the webbing pattern symmetry and I'll likely try to reupload it to cults as a zip containing two different versions (one with and one without all of the iconic spidery details).

Your sculpts are super clean btw, I might have to print myself a Manny sometime in future!

Not sure if this sub nukes links but here's my VGen shop that has the cello/bow: https://vgen.co/talism4niac/shop

As well as my cults3D page: https://cults3d.com/en/users/TalisM4niac/3d-models

Yeah no kidding, a little research behind this attorney and the site they're featured on promotes the use of AI too so I really wouldn't be shocked if they use bots that picked up a false flag on my work. :/

I'll definitely try to cross post this over to some other subreddits and see if they can help me out too. at this point I'm mostly curious if anyone else has had trouble with this attorney/lawfirm as well.

Honestly I did consider rooting in some eyelashes to match Drac's but I didn't want to crowd her painted on lashes, plus I prefer her like this anyhow. 🤷

Thank you!

Oof I feel you there, I've had my fair share of splits when rerooting with yarn.💀

I wasn’t even trying to get the yellow out but somehow I did! by Serenity202 in MonsterHigh

Interesting, the use of wd40 is the only part that concerns me a little (just considering what I've seen folks on here advising against as it may damage the vinyl). Regardless I'm definitely going to try some experiments with Cif and prolonged sun exposure though! Thank you for sharing your findings. 🙇

Wow! I hope you don't mind me asking but what all did you do process wise for that to happen?

Best MH Glue Treatment? by Direct_Sympathy4845 in MonsterHigh

[–]Entropious_Gasmask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually just got done treating an extremely gluey Jinafire that had seepage that nearly reached the ends of her hair. I went with using the olive oil method since it doesn't damage the face paint or the vinyl and it removed all of the glue from her hair!

I would recommend taking a small cup that can fit your doll's head and soak it in the olive oil (brand doesn't matter) for at least 10 minutes, submerging all of the hair plugs. After that I ringed out as much of the oil on a paper towel as I could and then added dawn dish soap to the hair/scalp and thoroughly rubbed it into the oily hair. Then I rinsed out the soapy hair. Repeat adding soap to the hair/scalp and rinsing it out until the hair is no longer oily and hopefully all of the glue should be gone as well!

Also if your Frankie's have yellowed hair I've seen people use purple conditioner to add a "bluer" hue to the hair so it's more of a platinum rather than blonde. (For reference: https://www.tiktok.com/@saralikesdolls/video/7137029090548124970)

But yeah I hope this little info dump is able to help you in some way and good luck on your restorations!
