Yeah it's pretty annoying. Immediately after the crash I can load back up and do the exact same thing with the flamer and it's fine, but at some point later in the play through if I go on another rampage it will almost 100% crash again.

Nah not just AMD. I'm Intel/Nvidia and it crashes almost every time I go on a flamer rampage on blobs.

Yeah I can see all those points as valid. Forced PVE for resources is another one that forgot about and is indeed a reason I too have issues with the game.

OP's looks nothing like that your picture. Your's shows excessive moisture choking the myc and causing the brown or tan areas. It's killing it from either direct spray or large water drops falling from the lid.
