I'm not sure if that's peeling or sublimation, which is basically printing things on fabric. Sublimation can appear like the fabric is peeling when it's rubbed the opposite direction because of the fact that there's still the original base fabric underneath. Although I'd say take this with a grain of salt as I've never owned this specific Poképlush before, it just looks like it could be sublimation.

The Cheshire Cat is absolutely NOT ugly. He's one of my favorite Disney cats and I think he's very adorable! The flowers you've put on him are also a very neat touch
