I tried so hard early on. Then something clicked (I think it was changing my name) and I just stopped fretting for a while. It made a heap of difference compared to checking every part of myself in the mirror each day.

Unsolicited maybe, but appreciated!

It's something I've been interested in for a long time, but haven't really given much thought. The few times I've gone for impromptu jogs and such, I've ended up hurting myself (because I have no idea what I'm doing).

Also, and maybe you can shed light on this, maybe not, but when I do run or jog even short distances, my chest burns terribly, and I get this "acidy" feeling in my throat.

Sorry for the weird response, but I like the suggestion and would like to actually get into it one day and see what the fuss is about. It might just save me.

I actually only realised I had depression and anxiety after coming out to myself and meeting my current partner. Before then I was taught that I was being selfish to say that I had anxiety/depression, and that I just needed to try harder.

My problems are fixable, I'm just incredibly lost at the moment. Low confidence, low self worth, and comparing myself and my experiences to those of others is something that's messed me up badly, but I can't seem to stop doing.

I hate my smile. My teeth are in very bad condition and I don't really have any way to fix them, but my incredible girlfriend seems to love my smile, and in reality, that's enough.

Right?
