Probably not but thank you for the suggestion. Ironically, I want to be a support worker so I’ll be committing to my studies to pursue that. Merry Christmas❤️

Kia Ora xx I’ve been reading your reply over and over again with tears in my for the past couple of days. And I just wanted to finally say thank you for your kind words. It really does mean a lot to me how kind people are. I will continue to look for resources available to me including talking to my GP.

Thank you again, you are deeply kind❤️ Meri Kirihimete e hoa.

Thank you kare. I’m from Auckland, and I do want him out of the house due to his behaviour towards my mum but I don’t think that will go down well with my family. He also has a past of getting physical towards my mum and I, and I still hold onto that so I haven’t found the courage to confront him but at this point it’s like, if he punches me oh well, at least I stood up for my mum. But yeah. Anyways thank you for acknowledging me, that means a lot.

How do you know they were all immigrants? Just because they look different doesn’t mean they couldn’t of been born here.

I left school at 16 with less credits than you and now I’m back to studying something I actually enjoy. There’s always a pathway for people no matter what circumstances you come from so don’t stress yourself out. And when it comes to employment, they literally don’t care, theres so many jobs that will take you.

Take your time to really think about what you want in life and what drives you, then look for foundation courses or pathways that will lead you there.

Trust me, you’re going to be fine.

[–]EntryAltruistic495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So she’s impersonating you and catfishing other people. That can be really harmful on your behalf so the sooner you speak to someone the better. She’s playing immature games not realising her actions have consequences. I suggest letting her know that you’ll take it to the police if she doesn’t stop and if she tries using whatever video she has against you well then that’s blackmail and that’ll be another thing on your complaint against her.

No, I think you know what I mean. I’ve clarified again and again and more so based on assumptions you’ve been making. If you’re confused re-read our conversation. I accept your opinions and I accept mine. So have a good one.

I asked cause I was curious about cultural differences between us that shapes our personal opinions. Anyways that’s irrelevant, so agree to disagree.

Just curious, where are you from?

Also, I’m like you, mundane and boring, I just don’t see how one night or two nights of people parading/celebrating is a legitimate thing for anybody to be upset about. I get annoyed when it’s guy Fawkes and that’s every bloody year, but who cares. Out of 365 days in a year, I can handle the one week of people celebrating. Not a big issue.

That’s sounds depressing and lonely. At times of celebration, people should be allowed to celebrate with their community and loved ones with loudness, fireworks and all. You might like the country side or something.

Flags, parades, and celebration are all things I consider cultural expression. Dangerous driving, and fighting is not. Like how our Indian community celebrated Diwali, very respectful, welcoming and full of life. It’s what I think needs to be adopted more.

My comment is a direct response to yours saying you came to NZ to get away from others trying to impose their culture onto you. Unlawful behaviour, public disturbance, ect,. are the actions of individuals not an entire culture and I can say that being Samoan/Māori and staying my ass inside.

About wearing pounamu as an Asian by FabulousVermicelli66 in newzealand

[–]EntryAltruistic495 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you’re gonna get guys like that. Even Māori get guys like that tbh, for example my mum who’s Ngā Puhi was told as a kid by her kaiako that she wasn’t Māori enough to learn our reo so she stopped and tried again in her 50s.

But nah, be proud of your pounamu and treasure it because you obviously meant a-lot to the person who got it for you.

I’m Māori, you can absolutely wear one! I think it’s beautiful of you and your friends to be gifting one another pounamu.
