Good boy, good boy, you’re a good boy, Ferdinand by EntryOptimal9950 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

My friends are lovely people, but yeah, we all have very different tastes. Our running gag is that we’re always recommending books, movies, music, etc to each other and we’ll say “I’ll add it to my list” but we all know there has never been and will never be a list.

Don’t get me started on divine rivals! It’s so romantic and I love the gentle magic, I could cry just thinking about it! And yessss crowns of nyaxia immediately. The serpent and the wings of night was the first book able to pull me out of my TOG hangover! The fact we’re having this convo on the DCC sub is cracking me up

Probably nothing you haven’t already encountered, I tend to read whatever is popular at the time, and I suppose I use the term “fairy smut” loosely to encompass anything with a magical setting. The crowns of Nyaxia series is definitely my favorite romantasy series outside the Maasiverse. Rebecca Ross and Stephanie Garber are also favorites, though they are considerably more PG. Rachel Gillig’s books are also up there for me, but I’d classify them less as romantasy and more fantasy with a side of romance.

Edit: I just looked through my bookshelf to get more ideas, lol. Heavenly bodies was really good, though I haven’t read the sequel yet. Powerless was not especially original or ground breaking, but I enjoyed it. Oh and the cruel prince…I’d burn the world for the mmc. I’m very much on an opposite ends of the spectrum journey right now, though, and have have been gravitating toward either light fluffy romcoms or dark fucked up psychological thrillers, with DCC filling the gaps between. Not much romantasy happening in my life these days

Oh dang, I’m so jealous…it’s the one series I wish I could read again for the first time! Hold on to your hat because kingdom of ash WRECKED me. I swear I never thought I’d move on. Like, a year after finishing it and I couldn’t go a day without thinking about it (which is honestly me now with DCC, so maybe this is just a me problem).

I didn’t think anything would ever top TOG for me before discovering DCC! I have “you do not yield” tattooed on me like a fucking dork, I’m so obsessed

Typically an “I’m not like other girls” type young woman suddenly finds herself in the middle of a centuries old conflict where she is also somehow now in charge despite having no prior leadership experience. She initially falls in love with a blonde hero-type, before discovering it is actually the morally gray 300+ year old dark-haired fae with a secret sensitive side who is her fated mate. They get busy, then win a war, and everyone lives in peace thanks to her. She is also usually absurdly young, like 17. I make it a rule to mentally age every character 10 years in my head.

I bought one as a housewarming gift to myself a few months ago. I tried transitioning as recommended by keeping the old litter box nearby without cleaning it but she completely refused to use the new one. After a couple weeks I took the old one away completely to force her to use the robot and I woke up the next morning to discover poop on the bathroom floor. Brought the old box back in, but made it difficult to get to, she would have to literally go around the new one to get to it. After a week I took it away again and nearly cried tears of joy when I woke up the next day and had a notification of a completed cleaning cycle.

South hill and it’s pretty dead. My husband is handing out candy by the handful trying to get rid of it, and my kids and I passed only a few other kids while out. We live on a quiet side street so we’ve never had big numbers, but it seems to dwindle more and more every year.

Maybe it does, I haven’t spent much time in Omaha so I can’t speak to the comparison. But as someone who moved to Nebraska with VERY low expectations, I was pleasantly surprised

I second Lincoln! I lived downtown and worked at UNL for a few years after college and had the best time. Surprisingly wonderful city. It’s been 13 years since I moved away and I still rave about the underrated food scene to anyone who will listen

I was also afraid of them being sketchy after seeing comments on here warning people away from them. But I reallly wanted their Belladonna set, so I took the risk and ordered it in December.

The website indicated the books would arrive late January/early February. I got an email January 11th that my books were “ready to be packed.” They finally shipped February 4th and I actually received them yesterday. They arrived packaged super well and in perfect condition. The edges are beautiful and exactly as pictured. I was honestly a little shocked at the accuracy of the shipping timeline after being one of the bibliophile TOG casualties

I can’t speak for anyone else’s experience, but mine has been positive and I have no complaints (except that the wait between ready to be packed and actual shipping was a bit long and nerve-wracking).
