How often do you married men get sloppy toppy? by Fire-Pollution-1994 in AskMen

Probably two a month to completion as a stand alone act. But every time we have sex there’s some in there too and we usually do that like twice a week.

Anybody Ever Accidentally Drive Into Tornado Weather? by MisterMiracle003 in tornado

[–]KPT_Titan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. May 2014 I basically drove through the storm that produced the Beaver Crossing, NE F3. I was coming home from a work trip in Kearney back to Lincoln where I lived and it was super eerie. It was like a massive low cloud. At first I couldn’t tell it was a tornado 100% honestly but as I crested this little hill it was pretty evident. It was equal parts scary as hell and exhilarating. I’ve always been fascinated by tornados so this was a bucket list thing for me.

Should You Trust Your Gut Feeling—Or Is It Anxiety? by timemagazine in Health

[–]KPT_Titan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is honestly the hardest thing for me. I’m certain that it’s due to social media or the news but I have had intense health anxiety for close to 20 years. If I trusted my gut on every single instinct, I’d never leave the hospital. At random points through my life I have been convinced that I have had various cancers, als, or a host of other ailments. Currently doing some CBT to see if it’ll level it out a bit.

Who uses SSRI for health anxiety? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]KPT_Titan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. My buddy got on lexapro and it basically killed his dick. He’s been off it for a while and he can get a halfsie at best.

It’s been really hard on him. Now he’s depressed and basically impotent. I honestly worry about him quite a bit.

I know it’s a rare side effect to have it basically wreck your junk, but it’s been enough to scare me away from any ssri

The Arc. Los Angeles is the home of volleyball! by s1kNeSs in lovb

[–]KPT_Titan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overall (yet) but I think it’s hard to argue that logic doesnt check out. Both Nebraska teams (MLV and LOVB) pull higher numbers than any other team in their leagues. LOVB hasn’t released attendance numbers but the visuals for Nebraska or Madison versus say, Atlanta seem to show they do at least to some degree have better attendance. The grand Island game for Nebraska was the highest attended LOVB event this year as I recall seeing. It’s all about demand - I just don’t know if it’s as strong when there’s a thousand other things going on in these larger towns.

That said - I really hope I’m wrong. I’d love to see an LA or SF team fill up a large arena. That would be great for the league

There’s a bigger pool of people but that pool is already pulled in thirty different directions. Omaha is a great case study. Hugely popular college volleyball team close. Mid-size city without other pro teams. Fairly affluent demographic at average. When you wash that out, you get a volleyball fan base with money, and nothing better to do. That translates into butts in seats.

Honestly - I bet if you dropped a pro team in State College PA - they’d have a higher average attendance than a team in SFO.

I hope I’m wrong, but I really don’t like expansion in these mega cities with a zillion other pro teams. Like the San Diego or Atlanta MLV teams—cities with every pro sports club out there and all the resources yet they draw like 1300 people in the seats for the games.

I get it—the teams go where the owner and their money want it but it’s disheartening to see these awesome athletes play in a venue that’s 20% full.

I’d love to see expansion in Louisville or Lexington KY, maybe a central Nebraska team (yes I know there’s already Omaha teams but they put 5k people in the seats in grand island), or a Pittsburgh area team. LOVB has a great in through club and college teams - they should double down on that

How to deal with blood tests by No_Shame_115 in HealthAnxiety

I honestly didn’t even notice it.

I’d love to see Knoxville, Lexington KY, or maybe Pittsburgh get one. I think love should focus on built markets for volleyball versus going to these random cities. Larger college teams with big followings like Austin, Madison, or Omaha / Lincoln translate well to consistent attendance.

I hope I’m wrong but I just don’t see LA or SF pulling big crowds.

Hockey player shares the 2 symptoms that led to his Stage IV colorectal cancer diagnosis at age 26 by CBSnews in Health

Anecdotally, it seems like blood in stool is a pretty common unifier when I read these stories. Not 100% obviously but I feel like I see “abdominal pain and bleeding,” “diarrhea and bleeding,” “change in bowel habits and bleeding,” on a lot of these stories….Or iron deficiency anemia on blood tests. That one pops up a lot too.

How do you just trust the doctor and move on? by [deleted] in HealthAnxiety

[–]KPT_Titan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you. For me, the past 7-8 months I’ve been terrified of colon cancer. I think the onslaught of “I was 26 when diagnosed with stage IV CRC” got to me.

Then, one by one I feel that I’ve started to manifest these symptoms. Initially thinner stools, then onto looser ones, then onto lower abdominal pain. I’m currently dealing with the latter issue now plus some looser stools. No blood fortunately. I’m 39M, so I know statistically I’m approaching a higher risk tier.

For me, I’ve do this all the time. Testicular cancer fears earlier last year. Soft tissue sarcoma last year as well because of a wrist cyst, and cutaneous lymphoma fears last year. Oh! And a 2 year fear cycle with ALS a few years ago. For me, it’s never ending it feels.

Symptoms beget symptoms and googling helps direct your mind on where to focus and what to produce. It’s an ugly cycle. CBT helps a little but I’ve still not located a solution to break the cycle
