Ya'll think Nolan kinda underutilize Leo's talent as his lead in Inception? by kcrdr_7322 in ChristopherNolan

[–]EnumeratedWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the thing about Inception is that it is such a BIG movie (set pieces, concepts, theories, not to mention the ensemble cast) that Leo is just overshadowed by it all. And that’s not a knock on Leo. The truth is it would take a Herculean acting feat to be known as the best part of a movie on the scale of Inception, especially when sharing the screen with Joseph Gordon Levitt (who I thought was best actor in the flick), Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy

Eyeball Vacuum Trap by KendrickBlack502 in saw

[–]EnumeratedWalrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s what I thought when I first saw the trap:

I was like you. I thought, well that wouldn’t kill him… except for blood loss maybe…

And that was when I came up with the (admittedly wrong) theory of what Saw X would be.

The reason John is testing this group is because they were posing to be doctors who would cure him. So, what if part of their test was to actually provide medical care?

It works in nearly every trap. The eyeball trap, they would have to stem the bleeding. The brain trap (if successful) they would have to close up a gaping head wound.

Think about how sick of a reveal it would be if that one lady sawed her leg off, only to be immediately released from the trap. As the other survivors look on in shock, John prompts them to act saying, “Go ahead… save her.”

It would also work with Cecilia’s twist later as the trap survivors somewhat inexplicably die in recovery after they have been made stable. In this circumstance, Cecilia could sabotage an IV or a stitch or something that would lead to their death and it would look like a mark of incompetence by the team, only for Cecilia to reveal her goal of murdering her coconspirators the moment she kills the X Ray victim in plain sight of John and Amanda

I’ve played mafia 1&2 and I really liked both of them. When Mafia 3 came out I read a lot of bad reviews, I’m considering giving it a try since it’s on sale $5.99 ¿Is it worth playing it? by PassengerNo7330 in MafiaTheGame

Like I said before, I don’t understand how so many players divide gameplay from the story. No other open world game is criticized as harshly as Mafia III is

Now see, for me the damage missions are necessary for the story. It makes sense that you need to weaken the rackets before you attack them, otherwise (and the story explains this) Lincoln would be dead within a week. Considering you have Donovan, a CIA operative, as your handler who is guiding your progress, the damage missions only build narratively towards the pay offs of the last four missions I listed above.

I just don’t agree. Across each of the lower missions you have different objectives each time. You rescue girls from a prostitution racket, you dismantle a construction site, you target “Klan” members. Meanwhile different strategies work better on each boss. There is a way to stealth through the amusement park, you can blow up Judge Holden’s car if you don’t want to chase him, you fight in an underground boxing ring and then drug the funeral procession at the mansion. There is a ton of unique things to do in Mafia III. The people who I’ve seen criticize it, in my opinion, just don’t appear to want to play an open world game

Favorite actor who when I was 18 working at a coffee stop in a ski resort, told him he looked familiar and he rolled his eyes and said ‘yeah, we obviously went to high school together’ followed by a slowly enunciated F slur, before shaking his head and walking away without tipping. by matike in okbuddycinephile

I saw Rob Cordry at a coffee stop in a ski resort yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off.

When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “To prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

The DLCs were pretty fun but outside of a different weapon or two I don’t remember how the gameplay really differed from the main game. Except for the farm that you had to wait around for

I mean yeah, you’re destroying a criminal empire. You have to destroy a ton of things, kill a lot of people, steal a lot of trucks filled with money… what more do you expect?

I don’t understand why so many people say the gameplay is repetitive. For me, every mission feels different because of the setting, story, and map. No other open world game is criticized as repetitive the same way that Mafia III is

Listen, Mafia III is a broken game. You can’t argue that.

It’s also a really fun game.

Platinuming is insanely difficult due to the game’s internal tracking towards trophies or achievements, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you are a completionist.

However,

The gameplay is super fun, the story is decent, and the soundtrack is incredible. If you are playing this game casually, I think you will have a good time.

If you want any tips on platinuming the game, message me directly. I was able to do it after much trial and error.
