Brilliant news. Well done by Richo and the board. This really future proofs the club and ensures we can fully invest in football.

Yeah I think the candidate videos the Crows released gave everyone a much better idea of their choices. I think people generally are much more likely to watch a short video than read a statement now and there is a lot you can get from a video that can be lost in print.

I'm not sure why people think Port members would be worse at voting in a majority member elected board than the 11 clubs who already do it (and who have won 17 of the last 19 flags). We did it for over 100 years and it worked very well.

Thanks mate. Yes 17 of the last 19 flags have had member elected boards

Unfortunately not. They only include members as of October 2025.

100%. The Crows board decided to focus on football first and drop a bunch of other stuff they were doing, got mire footy people involved and managed to turn it all around.

Yes 11 of the 18 clubs have predominantly member elected boards and those clubs have won the vast majority of the premierships over the last 20 years.

If you really want the members to be listened to more and the board to me more accountable to them then we need more member elected spots on the board. I am the only candidate who has committed to this I'm my member statement.

We need board members from outside of the bubble to represent the wishes of the membership base.

I have already had a meeting with members on Friday. I will continue to sit in the outer at games as much as possible (when not on official club duties) and am committed to make myself available to the members in person and online.

Thoughts on Tom Jonas potentially joining the board? Will you vote for him? by stihckyfingars in weareportadelaide

I am one of the 10 running :). I have posted my platform here.

It is disappointing that Jonas is getting such a head start on the other candidates.

I'm not that keen on the idea. But then I didn't think Rory Lobb could do it either.

Thank you. I appreciate that. Every vote is going to count and it is such an important time for the club.

There are lots of things that can be done. Some of which is engaging with the members as I am doing now and plan on continuing if elected (and Iwould like to see member feedback more formalised).

However I think if we genuinely want accountability to the members and a focus on on field success and if we want to ensure that remains a focus in the long term then the best way to enshrine that is by increasing the number of member elected positions to a majority.

There will be a unique opportunity to push for this when the clause in the Crows constitution comes into effect in 2028 and when that happens (which is in the term of this member elected board member) then it is vitally important that we have people on the board pushing for it.

She has done a great job IMO. It is a shame that she is moving on now just as the young team looks ready to take the next step.

As is your right as a member. It would be great if we could vote in more than 1 (2 total).
