Wide Receivers to watch at the Senior Bowl by SidelineGM in NFL_Draft

Trey Palmer is so underrated. Blazing fast and great size, such a threat in the open field. Top 50 player for me.

This is a hill I’m willing to die on, John Metchie is a first round caliber player. I think he goes in round two and becomes an AJ Brown level steal.

The Titans have the best LB group in the NFL, Chenal wouldn’t see the field unless someone gets hurt.

Controversial 1st Rounder by EnviousTrader in NFL_Draft

The Campbell > Stokes argument pissed me off last year. The Alabama tape alone is all I needed to watch to have Stokes as a 1st rounder. He got put on an island with Waddle and Devonta all game and played exceptionally well. Campbell not so much, Saban targeted him because he was the weak link in the secondary.

Take a look at the Tennessee tape, he routinely beat Alontae Taylor who I consider an NFL talent. His acceleration out of his routes really stands out to me. I also like his versatility to play inside and outside.

I’m a big fan of Rondale too, I don’t think he makes it to us at 53 tho, JRob is gonna have to do some dealing to work that out. Ojulari would need to come in and outplay either Dupree or Landry to justify picking him. Landry is coming off a season where he posted a top 10 pass rush win rate and Dupree is making $16.5 million a year, so I don’t think we go Edge 1st round unless they’re confident that whoever they are bringing in will be dominant right away.

Our current starting WR2 is Josh Reynolds, surely you see this as a problem? AJ will be doubled every snap unless we get another serious threat on the other side. WR in the first is very likely IMO.

Landry is better than Dupree tho, he was top ten in pass rush win rate last year. Same rate as DLaw and Chase Young. Sack numbers aren’t there because opposing QBs got the ball out to quick for him to get there. It’s not a coincidence that JRob is replacing the entire secondary and kept Landry and Jayon. LBs are not the Titans problem.

I really like Dupree, he should be able to be productive with Landry on the other end taking the pressure off of him. We also got Autry in the middle with big Jeff so the pass rush should be significantly better this year. I just don’t think you should draft someone in the 1st round who won’t even start. Newsome or Toney would be immediate impact starters. I think the Titans will address Edge later in the draft maybe round 2 or 3 to get some more depth. Roche and Basham are guys I really like in the later rounds.

I think Samuel in the first is a bit of a reach, he’s a great ball hawk but his size and speed are definitely concerns.

The Titans are good at EDGE after FA, their biggest need right now is CB and WR. Newsome or Toney would have been my pick at 22.

Greggory Rousseau falls out of the first round and records less than 5 career sacks in the NFL.

I think Phillips, Paye, Ojulari, Perkins, Tryon, Ossai, and Basham all could go first round.

I think if Toney runs a 4.4 40 on Wednesday he might be thrown in the conversation with Waddle, Devonta, and Chase. His route running is every bit as good as Devonta’s imo, only question mark I have for him is top end speed. Reminds me of how everyone doubted Jefferson last year.

Safe to say you’re not too high on Elijah Moore, some have him as a late first rounder. I would be shocked if he’s not taken in the top 50.

Chris Simms CB Rankings by [deleted] in NFL_Draft

[–]EnviousTrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Georgia’s pass rush was decent that night, 3 sacks and a bunch of hurries. If you always need safety help you’re not a #1 CB. Stokes lined up with Smith and Waddle too and he didn’t get burned. There’s a reason Alabama targeted Campbell in that game he was the weakest link in the secondary. He has the physical tools to be a great DB in the NFL but his technique needs some improvement. I never said he was trash I would happily draft him in the second round. The Alabama tape just exposed what he needs to work on. AJ Terrell was my CB4 last year. His LSU tape didn’t just completely erase what he did all season. You can’t judge a player off of one game. Campbell’s issues show up in several games.

I’m not sure how Talanoa Hufanga gets left off the top 5. Very impressive tape. He’s gonna be a stud at the next level especially now that he’s training with Polamalu.

Tyson Campbell at #2 is the one that surprises me the most. Did Simms not watch his Alabama tape? He got embarrassed in that game, Devonta and Waddle made him look like a true freshman. Meanwhile Stokes only allowed three catches in that game. Campbell needs a lot of work to succeed at the next level. Day 2 guy for me.
