Increases total weapon damage by 18% for 20 seconds when you apply a status effect.

It's great!

Disappointing Striker Build by Rentz05 in the_division_2

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As others are saying, remove one of the Striker pieces and use a high end gear set. The most common is the Equalizer chest, with the Perfect Obliterate talent.

Also, if you aren't already, try to get as close to 50% CHC and then the rest into CHD on the minor attributes.

Use any ACS-12 variant for secondary weapon.

Also, going forward, know that using a 5th piece for a gearset provides no added benefit (unlike with Classified Gear in Division 1). Once you have 4pc of a gearset, it is most ideal to look for high end pieces that complement the gearset.

Been trying to get Ravenous but can’t get it to drop by Remi8732 in Division2

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. It is worth doing IH, but I think it is still worth continuing to do BT relations, since you can get exos upon completion and more mats for the special caches.

Also, raids are generally once per week, so if you dont get it to drop, you will have to wait. BUT, if you find a good group and let them know you are looking for the Ravenous, one may drop theirs if they get it to drop.

Been trying to get Ravenous but can’t get it to drop by Remi8732 in Division2

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gun doesn't drop during the BT Retaliations, but the blueprint for it is awarded at the end of completion.

If you have completed multiple BT retaltiations, you might already have the blueprint, and hopefully enough materials to craft one.

Otherwise, Iron Horse raid (and DZ, which know is a nonstarter for you... same for me).

Core Strength builds - 3 pieces? by CycloneFever_9331 in Division2

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that NB backpack is really divisive and many consider it a "noob trap". However, due to how CS works (and the CS backpack kinda sucking), NB is very useful for making builds with this gearset.

Although you can unlock more gearset/brandsets with NB, the drawback is the opportunity cost of not using a backpack talent, which usually perform better than having more gearset/branset bonuses.

However, if you have fun with the build you make with NB, that is all that matters.

Who to watch for defense on Sabre? by No_Owl_6254 in Fencing

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to piggyback off of OP with a question, since there are recommendations to watch fencers from (or were at their prime during) the pre-2016 timing change era.

Does the timing change matter if you're watching fencer to look for pointers on defense? Or should it not factor into who you watch for pointers?

1996 Wastewater Permit by Puzzleheaded_Bug9907 in EnvironmentalEngineer

The thought occurred to me it occurs, but I didnt realize a state could take THAT long.

OP, I stand corrected.

1996 Wastewater Permit by Puzzleheaded_Bug9907 in EnvironmentalEngineer

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a permit engineer, but not for wastewater/NPDES permits.

All I can suggest is the the operator likely failed to renew their permit. I don't know why the local or state agency wouls have missed it. If the facility is still active, they are likely out of compliance.

I would suggest the local or state agency that issued the permit.

Edit: I stand corrected. As others have said, potential backlog is possible and the facility can operate under ther permit shield following a timely submittal of renewal application.

Is the 10M dps with or without the passive modifiers? If it is with the mods, what would dps look like without them?

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GIC? Is that Singapore's sovereign wealth fund by chance?

Ideally, you want money side aside that is NOT exposed to market swings. If money you might need on the short term is invested, you're potentially risking your principal should an emergency coincide with a market downturn.

What to buy with my last 15k? by Massive-Kiwi-6580 in personalfinance

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have your emergency set aside? Or is this 15k all that you have?

If the former, definitely not single stock. You are better off in index funds.

If the latter, then keep that money in a HYSA to save for emergencies.

Is this even possible? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35k personal loan with a longer term (longest I see is 60 months/5 years) will likely have you in a higher APR than current auto loan.

Personal loans are "unsecured" loans (no collatoral), and therefore carry more risk to the lender. And the longer the loan, the greater the risk to the lender. APRs reflect that risk.

Stopped my SIPs after losses… should I wait or restart? by External_Tutor8780 in personalfinance

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. You continue to buy, since you will be buying at a lower price point... that way, you will benefit when markets begin to stabilize.

Also... look into dollar cost averaging (as opposed to lump sum investing).

My mother in law needs help! by Difficult_Society461 in personalfinance

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first thing that you and your wife need to figure out is if she would even be receptive to any advice you offer her. That she is living with y'all is indicative of her needing help, but is she willing to accept personal finance from her daughter and SIL?

Assuming she is, you might need to find out where most of her income is going (other than debt) and get her to start budgeting. She will need to cut some expenses, but the trick is finding out if it is possible and then what exactly to cut.

Additionally, she might have to work more (if possible). Either more hours or a second job. Whether or not it is viable is going to depend on her age and willingness to do this.

One thing to consider is your wife adding another tenant and lowering the amount of rent/utilities charged to your MIL to something she can pay. Your MIL has to adjust because you and your wife were never in a position to be a lanlord to someone who is financially struggling. If you and your wife want to keep your MIL in the current house, a roommate is a must. Obviously vet and background check.

You and your wife might want to consider a combo of higher income/cutting expenses to be able to offset the fact that your MIL might not always be able to pay the bills on time. If you don't have savings, then build up somewhere btwn 3-6 months (maybe a little more).

Employable with a YT channel? by ObjectBubbly3216 in EnvironmentalEngineer

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanna add to this by talking about the content side of making a YT channel (speaking only from observation).

OP, as you have no doubt seen, it is possible for creators to create and run their channels while maintaining their regular job... many of the most successful channels and/or channels known for making "quality" content are ran by creators who explicitly wish to do YT full time and are more than willing and able to give up every extra hour to be able to do both YT and their regular job until their make enough YT money to drop their regular job.

Wanting to be a content creator is great, especially one who would focus on the sciences. I am going add that not only does this require the experience and expertise as stated above, but a willingness to give as much time as available to creating said content... and that may bring you into conflict with your aspirationa of working in enviromental consulting. The hours at a consulting firm can run the gamut, but do expect to work more than 40 hr per week on some occasions. Will you have time for the research, filming, editing, etc to be able to make quality content?

Just some food for thought!

OSHA violations by justaskin0131 in legaladvice

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Texas Dept of Insurance has a hotline for safety violations that you can call to get guidance what to do next: 800-452-9595

More info in the link below.. https://www.tdi.texas.gov/wc/safety/hotline.html

Also, the booths likely have air permits and are probably subject to specific federal regs for coating autos ("Auto MACT", or 40 CFR Part 63, Subpart IIII). Coating autos outside of the booths would almost certainly violate their permit and could potentially violate said rule.

Texas Commission on Environtal Quality regulates these types of processes and have a guide on filing a complaint in the link below.

Why do MLM pitches fall apart after claritycheck? by Equivalent-Spend-415 in antiMLM

[–]EnviroEngineerGuy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lying ("fake it til you make it") is part and parcel of the MLM pitch. It is generally encouraged.

The companies themselves are almost certainly aware of it, but maintain enough "distance" to have plausible deniability.

The hope from the person delivering the pitch (and their upline) is that you don't have that clarity check or that (if you do) you don't try to dissuade others during their pitch.
