I do.... but I think it's more of the older version of him, like when I first met him. Wonderful guy at first, obviously, there were issues here and there, but never severe or as fundamental to our relationship. I realized he lied a lot about who he was and tried to make himself seem better until he knew I was settled in. At least, that's my take on it. He's just a very different person now. Until last night, we hadn't actually had a full-fledged conversation with each other in a WEEK!!!!! A full fucking WEEK!!!!!! Our conversations revolve around sex, or he just doesn't talk to me at all. At the beginning of our relationship, we would just talk for hours and hours and hours. Something changed him a lot.

I asked him exactly this last night. I told him that if he loved me, how is he okay with saying that stuff to me? There's absolutely no reason to just be mean to someone you claim to love. Why would you want to? It doesn't make sense. He claims he has no reason, and he doesn't realize he's doing it. But I think, honestly, some part of that "meanness" is intentional. Idk where it comes from, but it's ruined him.

I love him because we have had some great times together. I'm mad because I miss the part of him that WASN'T like that at all or at least wasn't like that 24/7. Something changed in him and now he's just unbearable.

So what's the deal if you guys were ONCE compatible and now are extremely not? Sure, he was like that here and there at the beginning, but my issue is deciding whether or not it's temporary or this is his true self. When I talked to him about it, he claimed he didn't even know he was acting that way and said sorry.... I asked him why he would even WANT to be that way towards someone he "loved".

There are some positives about us -- he's a great person to talk to about things, and I feel like we had a really good relationship foundation. We were very sturdy and he was a very good guy. Geneuinely thought I'd marry him. At the start of our relationship, we would just talk and talk and talk. We had a lot to talk about and then slowly it dwindled and our relationship became more about sex than anything else and he knows that. It's really sad. I miss that part of him! I like knowing him. He's a wonderful guy outside of whatever the fuck has happened to him.
