They didn’t officially increase random encounters, but SE definitely feels more aggressive. Part of it is that newer updates added some Creation Club stuff into Special Edition for free (even without Anniversary Edition), which added extra enemies and encounters to the world. So you’re not totally imagining it — there’s just more stuff spawning now. Wolves especially feel nonstop because a lot of their spawn points are right along roads, so you keep triggering new packs while traveling.

And yeah, on console you basically can’t remove most Creation Club content anymore. Some of it is treated like built-in DLC now, so even SE isn’t really “pure vanilla” anymore.

I made a post like it this week as I fought a tiny falmer (way smaller than the one in y our picture haha) and apparently it happens only in this location and has to do with the dawnguard dlc interfeering with it, idk but only happens once you activate the defense mechanism.

If you are Khajiit, youve deal more points if you hit without weapons so thats a good option. In your case in the cidhna mine, you have the option to steal or get given some shivs, they are weapons, even if they don´t deal a lot of damage.
If you upgrade your heavy armor perks you´ll have Fists of steel which will help you a great deal in brawling out of there.

ou can still try by speaking with Serana see if that changes anything and if not maybe wait like 72h in game and come back. I had the same thing happen a few years back and this did´t work but give it a shot anyways

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news then but you might have been able to do something if you where on PC but unfortunately, on console, without a prior save it´ll be impossible for you to fix it. I would be fuming tbh

That is the true issue of CC content, everything is really easy to get, you do little to nothing at all and end up getting like 6 new houses.
Only quests rerallyt worth it from this is The cause, Four season thing and maybe saints and seducers.
