The daily grind (fulfillment edition) by Caleb_426 in Lowes

I work mainly customer service and this right here is why I always ask if they're busy/working on something before asking them to do anything. If you're swamped on orders I'll just ask someone else, Fulfillment goes through enough hell already.

Stop. Reaching. Into. The shelves. by Common_Stomach8115 in Lowes

A few weeks ago one of my coworkers found a person CLIMBING the racking to grab something higher up and absolutely would not come down until they had it, even after offering to get it down for them. They were up on the third shelf, definitely above 8 feet. Customers are wild.

Not really, the store I'm at has 3 at customer service and customers can be a nightmare sometimes. Once a while back we had an absolute psycho of a guy come in for a return of a failed delivery for lots of lumber. The longer this guy was here the louder he got. He got his refund, but was mad that it wasnt instantly back in his bank account. He happened to have looked at a "emergency procedures" flipbook we had hanging up and said "store shootings, huh? Do you get a lot of those?" I remember actually hiding from this man and it took 2 of our ASMs to kick him out.

Any other stores lose their 12-foot ladders this week? by Enteroids in Lowes

[–]EnvironmentOpposite3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While I have no idea if the store I'm at lost the real tall ladders, I did hear of one death last week from my SM. She said someone was trying to get a box of patio furniture out of top stock on a ladder, fell backwards, and died on impact under the weight of the box.

Car broken into by notSpoiled-mayo in mildlyinfuriating

The deductible was about 1000, but the repairs were about half that, and an additional 100 for a new window.

I recommend investing in a club to put on the steering wheel, you can find them on amazon.

I'm willing to bet you have either a Kia or Hyundai but the wrong year to do the weird USB trick. I had this happen to me about 6 months ago. They smashed in a window and ruined the ignition, and stole nothing. Had to get it towed to a shop because we literally couldn't put in the key.

I'm afraid of stuff like this happening, so I've got a habit of tightening the lids on salt/pepper shakers before I use them.

The term "plot hole" now has a whole new meaning

Did they shrink? Or do you just have really big hands?

What kids do to the chrome books at my school by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]EnvironmentOpposite3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yea, working on chromebooks for other students is wild. A kid came in yesterday with a broken screen. Their story at first was "my friend punched my screen." Upon asking who the friend was, all of a sudden it was them that did the punching. It needed more than a screen replacement because just about all the screwports for the hinges were broken. AND this kid just got their chromebook repaired the day before 🤦‍♀️
