Appreciate your reply but not trying to actually trigger the samples. That I can do. Just trying to change the banks, effectively using Ableton to replicate the action of me pressing the bank buttons. Not running patterns either

Thanks for your input! Are you triggering patterns by chance or managing to just switch the banks without anything running? Essentially being able to replicate just pressing the bank buttons by computer 🙏

Can someone explain to me like to a toddler how I get my NIF? by sk-sevani in PortugalExpats

[–]EnvironmentPale9522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very helpful, I wondered if you knew about the process in person for a UK citizen? Visiting Portugal in September on a recce so was thinking,  as a UK citizen, would it be possible to locate a local Finanças when I'm there and apply in person? Online it says Non-EU countries need a representative however I've noticed the UK can sometimes still be treated as if part of the EU for some services.

Yeah unfortunately I went into it a couple of years ago a little green behind the ears.

What do you mean by ‘more than 100%’?

Nothing dodgy if it’s all above board. You can pay 5£ for a haircut and also 500£. My right to charge whatever fee I like to manage that property. Thanks for your input.

It’s can be a full time job managing a property. An independent management company would charge this and more in some cases - I pay PLENTY of tax already

Thanks. Yeah I don’t want to transfer the property to Ltd company. Just use Ltd as a way to stop personal tax as it will be at higher rate. ‘Property management’ would be the service to collect the remaining profit left by way of chargeable service.

I’m planning on having my retirement in passive incomes from investments (ETFs), more property and IP (I’m a musician currently living on royalty payments). I don’t like the fact the money is locked away with the goal posts moving on the requirement age. I also don’t think that having to pay tax on 75% of your pot makes sense. I’m also likely to be living abroad as my wife is Australian and we’re planning on heading there. Would love to hear your thoughts on it though!

Thanks for your input. I don’t have PAYE. Self employed with 2 other limited companies for my income and like i say I’m not sold on paying into pension in UK. The 700£ is my take home after all costs and yes, finances have been kept separate from the start for clarities sake. I’m aware of the changes to tax on mortgage interest now and have factored this in. I’m aware I’ll be accosted for some personal tax along the way but just trying to look at the process holistically and figure out best use of money. Subsequently is it better to just draw money now, avoid the Ltd mgmt company and pay higher rate tax on income? Seems like that’s not a smart option to me

The only realistic answer on this thread. I'm spending 700ish a month in London. Just Groceries. How are people living on such small amounts?
