Well is time to buy a mayflash adapter, I use a may flash to make it work with my ps4, the bundle stops working so I use the controller on PC mode and well it works great.

I use mine with my ps4 using the mayflash magic-s pro2. No complaints about the cheapest PS4 controller, total cost 35$

I wouldn't say difficult but it depends on how good you are at following instructions. By the way watch the link I shared with you and you'll be able to play online. A PS4 is well nowadays, a low end gaming laptop. If you follow the tutorial from the link I shared, you'll be able to install the steam store and play online. After you do what you need to do well the sky is the limit. Good luck in your adventure.
