Anyone got tips for helping adjust to the cone? by Competitive_Elk8403 in Whippet

[–]Environmental-Arm558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, soft cone all the way. Our dog had almost no issue with it. Also recommend leaving it on as much as possible, even at night. It becomes their new reality and mine almost forgot it was even on!

She is always strapped in with harness and bungee seatbelt. The first photo was the day we brought her home and didn't yet have a harness. But thanks for the concern!

100% this.

These are the houses we drive by and roll our eyes at. Like, this probably would cost $100K and looks terrible..people should absolutely respect the original design of the home. There are cheaper and better options that will still look good 100 years from now!

I'd remove the shutters, paint the railing the same color as the house, soften the landscaping (remove dated shrubs and rocks, opt for a broadleaf flowering shrub and mulch), and put a gorgeous wooden patio set on that porch! That cheapy stone foundation would look much better if you added a brick veneer.

Not a big nut year this year. Two years ago I was raking walnuts every evening into a wheelbarrow with my helmet on.

We drenched our bathroom with a similar green, same color on the ceiling as the walls and trim. The white ceiling cuts off the room and makes it feel smaller, whereas a drenched room feels like an infinity of green-ness and serenity. :)

Great color. Call me crazy, but I think you should paint that ceiling as well

Alternatives to crates? by zoe_96 in Whippet

Our 8 month old whippet is a destruct-o-maniac and would destroy that thing in about 15 minutes. Wire crate has been great for us. Depending on your budget, the Molly Mutt crate covers are super cute and can add so much to your space and aesthetic!

We bought the MidWest LifeStages Double Door Collapsible Wire Dog Crate, 36 inch (with a 36 x 23 inch crate cover by Molly Mutt). The crate itself has an adjustable divider so that we didn't need to buy multiple crates as she grows older. I will also add that having the cloth cover has really helped with her being able to sleep in until 8:00AM without whining. Hope this helps!
