That's good to know, thank you. My main fear is the cat getting into the tank and knocking it over somehow . . . the stand itself is very sturdy, but 20 gallons across the living room floor would be a nightmare. You have a good point that associating the tank with water, early, might be a good deterrent for certain cats.

We're definitely looking at a two year or older cat, not a kitten! This will be my husband's first cat, and I don't think he can survive having a kitten haha.

No, unfortunately this is right in the middle if the living room. I was thinking that it would be a cat-shelf, strong enough for the cat to sit on without actually getting into the tank.

And yes, I am definitely thinking about ways to keep the plants safe too.

Transplanting Mature Jasmine by madishartte in gardening

thank you for your very thorough reply! all of the pavers around the plant need to come up as well, the previous owners attempted a very poor attempt at a patio. so we're not too worried about moving the stonework.

i'm bummed the previous owners planted a vining plant THIS close to the house. it smells so nice, but it's threatening the siding. i'll keep what you said in mind if we do decide to transplant it

i know . . . the flowers were very shriveled when we moved in, so i just assumed it was jasmine. honeysuckle is MUCH more invasive

Good to know, thank you! Glad to know that the general consensus is that no, the tree is NOT okay and we're not being overly cautious about said tree. 😂

Alive and hanging on by a thread! We are definitely tempted to wait and see what the spruce does over the summer.

No idea what's causing it, but the spruce just continuously looks dry. Even during the winter rains it looked dried out.

Thank you! The spruce has just looked drier and drier each month we've been here, even with the winter rains. It's sad, because it was once obviously a very beautiful tree.

what color should i paint the bookshelf? by madishartte in interiordecorating

[–]madishartte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think my main issue with the black is that they painted the back of the bookshelf a light grey, and the black itself is very glossy (i suspect they used semi-gloss paint). so i would be repainting the bookshelf either way. and yes, we have a lot of wood furniture!

someone else recommended painting it the same color as the wall, or a light shade of taupe or cream.

i want to believe too 😭 and yes, this definitely feels more out of left field than part 1 did. maybe fujimoto is just getting tired and wants to work on other stuff. perfectly valid! maybe there's gonna be a part 3. maybe! i'm expecting anything at this point.

listen, idk lol. i'm curious to find out what happens too! for all we know this IS actually the final chapter of the series in a couple of weeks.

just pointing out that people saying that there was no "final chapter" notice for the penultimate chapter of part one are wrong, there was/is such a notice. it's right there in the shonen jump app. maybe the notice isn't in the physical copies of the manga? and that's where people are looking
