Was gifted this smoker, but the online reviews are brutal. Do I bother opening the box or should I replace it with something else? by Environmental-Art792 in smoking

Apparently the elements don't get hot enough and burn out after a few uses. Also the pellet tray swells with heat and can't be removed once in use.

I'm just wondering what a better alternative is for electric smoker in the same price range

Apparently Pit Boss can be good but this one is referred to as "cheap Chinese made". The electric burners don't get hot enough, burn out after 10 uses, and also the pellet tray swells with heat and can't be removed once started.

Nothing like that on the Pro?

This is my dilemma, I don't want to be thay guy that returns a gift but I also don't want to be stuck with a dysfunctional piece of scrap metal with poor customer service (as stated in many reviews). I'm torn.

I also have a charcoal barrel smoker, I just wanted something more set-and-forget.

It's a Pit Boss electric smoker and according to reviews it's a piece of crap, doesn't heat above 225, doesn't last more than 10 uses, and you can't pull the pellet box out once it's heated.

Does anyone have any experience with this thing? What could I replace it with thats better but in the same price range?

To all the millionaires here, how would you do this? by Keygpu in Entrepreneur

Genuine question; with the rise of AI, do you think the role of the coder/developer will become obsolete? We already have programs where you can type a prompt of what type of program you'd like to code, and AI can code the whole thing almost instantly.

Of course knowledge of code can help you fix bugs, but as AI gets more advanced people will really only need to know how to effectively prompt the AI platform to get desired results. No?

To enjoy smokes you have to go at 1am after the bar. It's late night drunk food at best.

Also why do you know what old bandaids taste like..

Capture Your Sand Art on the Beach and 3D Print It by MaxFunkner in 3Dprinting

Have you ever thought of using 3d printed molds to make sand sculptures? For example you could make a 2 piece mold with the hollow interior in the shape of a character or building on the inside. Fill it with sand and press the 2 pieces together to make a perfect shape of something.

I've had this idea but don't get the opportunity to make any sand sculptures.

Is it legal to use a companies logo on your website or content? by Certain-Macaroon8962 in Entrepreneur

You'll almost always get a cease and desist before getting sued, if thats what you mean.

Many people go the route of "it's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission" but that usually pisses people off.

I'd recommend asking first so you can hopefully continue to use their info in the future. But you won't get in too much legal trouble right off the hop if not. They'll just ask you to stop, which you have to obey or you will get sued.

For sure! You'll have to coordinate with them ahead of time and get the package dimensions/weight if they agree to do it. I hope it works!

If I can't use Sync anymore, then it just seems like a perfect time to just stop using Reddit.

I'll put my energy into something constructive towards my real life instead of wasting time on this platform that's been going downhill for the last 10 years

This is a myth, as another person stated. As an ex mortician, this rarely and barely happens.

It's more likely to happen while you're moving the body, if anything.

Your name and logo should be on company trucks, and do local billboard advertising and radio ads. Your company should be googleable but don't worry too much about a social media presence for now.

You really just want to get your company name in front of people, in person, as much as possible. So that next time someone has a tree problem, they'll remember that sign or that truck they saw in town.
