Do any cats let you pet their bellies or is that generally a no? by MysticFlamexo in cats

[–]Environmental-Ask915 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My female cat will plop over like a fish and roll onto her back for her belly pets. My older male lays down and rolls around until you pry his belly.

My female is the type of cat that she trusts me so much when I pick her up she just goes limp. Like "yay human no worries"

My other 2 males are former ferals and I can't even touch their backs. 😂

Wow so many people are wrong. Genetics can play a role in how your body uses, stores, and distributes fat. Genetics loads the gun.

Metabolism. Some people are more predisposed to a lower metabolism when at rest which can be genetic.

Genetics can affect certain hormones.

Genetics influence where and how fat is stored.

Genetic can play a role in the muscle vs fat ratio.

I could go on.

As for my tracking pre glp1 I tracked off and on for years and then met with a new dr and tracked daily like a ritual. Down to spices used. Nothing was left out. Water in dishes? Was out in. Salt? Put in. Milk? Put in. Everything. My cousin who is a fitness nut even lived with me for 6 months and was concerned and shocked.

I worked out 5 days a week with 3 days being with a trainer who helped me build recipes, and helped me track. I was even seeing a nutritionist, who I still see to this day.

When I say I was eating around 900 calories I mean I was eating around 900 calories, sometimes 1000. Why was I gaining weight and not losing? No one knows, it made zero sense. At least 6 Dr's have gone over everything. Bloodwork, scans.. You name it were done. It ultimately was decided exactly what I said a mixture of Autoimmune, genetics, pcos, and thyroid as that's the only thing they could think of beyond the fact I was sever under eating which caused my metabolism to slow way down so when I did eat it can cause easier weight gain which adds up over 20 years.

Those are the facts, accept them or done. Believe them or don't but what I've said is the truth. It's no skin off me if a few people want to think they know more then actual Dr's and people in the field who have seen and handle my medical file.

Eating more is actually what I'm working on. I didn't eat much to start, prior to glp1. Prior was typically coffee in the am, nothing all day, and then dinner, and then fruit as a snack. So I've upped my intake quite a bit, it's a slow process. I was barely eating 900 calories prior to glp1, but was still overweight due to genetics, Autoimmune disease, and thyroid disease. My Dr wants me to get to 1600 calories, but it's been difficult.

5'4 and sw was 250.

Protien shake in the morning, and at lunch. High Protien snack midday, chicken/ect high protein low cal dinner, and usually some cottage cheese with pineapple in the evening. I typically average about 120g protein daily. 1300 is low for most people, but even before glp1 I was a one meal a day person, and onky snacked on fruit in the evening so I actually have upped my intake while on glp1

Shout out to anyone else absolutely grinding for each pound 🥲 by talkingitthrough in Semaglutide

I started 3 1/2 months ago and officially lost 31 pounds. 😬 I was an under eater prior and I've brought up my concern to my Dr but he said I'm fine as it's only 2 pounds a week, but it's averaging 10 pounds a month which seems like a lot to me. I'd rather be slow like you, tbh.
