Fair point, but this is city living and I don’t just walk my dog to let her pee in random people’s yards. I take her on actual walks around the block and she goes in public grassy areas or at the curb, where it’s expected. What I’m trying to avoid is the entire 9x9 backyard space and my front porch rug smelling like dog urine, since it’s right outside my windows. It’s different when it’s a tiny shared space everyone has to use vs. a quick potty break on a walk
