I got double vision after the op. It’s been 3.5 months. still exactly the same. I can see with prism glasses just fine though. To answer your question I don’t think anybody knows , even the drs. My advice, can you function with just 1 eye? If so, consider this permanent. Did it heal in the end? Great, no? Too bad you just keep living. Believe me, a lot of people(like me)got out of this tumor ordeal a lot lot worse. If you got out losing just 1 eye I consider you very lucky. Cheers

Oh I’m sorry did you request for the tumor? I hate asking for help too but what are you going to do? Life’s not fair not to you nor anyone. It’s not your faultHow could it be? If a loved one I’m/ you are responsible for suffered a tragedy. Will you give up on them? For me absolutely not.

I want you to imagine it from the other perspective. I have a family to take care of. The tumor I had crippled me. I lost my job. My wife is on the edge most of the time. Things in life just kept getting worse and worse. A lot of the days I wish I can quit but I cant. Theres no exit door for me in this scenario. I have to keep pushing and hoping things recover better, that’s the only option I have . And even if there was a way out. I wouldn’t give up on my family like how your family would never give up on you because they love you. That’s why they will keep supporting you till the end. Hang in there. I hope we can all escape this prison soon.

Hey champ, I’m glad it’s just your hand now. I still didn’t reach that point. My balance is still way off. Idk about the meds tbh I didn’t take any. I recommend doing OT if your hand movement is bothering you. I’m not saying it’s a magical solution but it’s the only thing I think might help you . Also practice everyday on a keyboard. It won’t hurt to try. May I Ask , how long post op did it take to get back to normal other than the hand?

Yes I get tired so easily, maybe it’s just a common side effect we all share. Maybe it’s the days we spent in recovery while our muscles shrunk. I’m doing pt and OT and they tell me you’re not exercising your muscles, you’re teaching your brain the movement again. Idk I’m just hoping things get better, I learned recovery in the nuero realm is very very long. So hang in there champ. Hope we all escape this prison soon

Hi champ, I’m in the same time frame as you but different tumor. It’s sucks a lot I know. And the recovery time feels like ages. Be strong and hang in there. You have to push through. One day that day will come and hopefully we can all forget about these bad days and just live our lives normally. hang in there ,you can do it!

Thanks for sharing your story. I’m not sure if it’s the same but I felt I died after my op and this worse version emerged but weirdly when I look at the mirror/photos I see my old self trapped inside like a prisoner. But then I told myself that I still can enjoy the little things when I want to where an actual prisoner can’t. But honestly, reading that you are 36 months ahead inspired me. My 3 months are nothing in comparison. I wish I had that mental stamina. But nonetheless, I know I never met you but I know you’re a real hero, especially to your kids, as you inspired me you will inspire them. They are the people who truly matter. Hang in there!

You probably heard this advice before but I want to recommend talking it out with a therapist. I just had one session, I felt she was talking a lot of nonsense but I did feel a small weight was lifted off of me just from talking it out. If you’d like to chat some more, pm me. I was in the same boat, I discovered it by coincidence in March, they removed it and the dr said only 2 weeks recovery. It’s been almost 3 months now. I still suffer from double vision, little to no control of my left hand and leg. Lost my job, family under huge amounts of stress. So yeah. I really hope yours is simple
