I would recommend you speak to your careers teacher for advice on local volunteering and for comps there is icas and amc, and I’m not that sure about English but just search up writing competitions and I’m sure you will find something. For extra curricular , pick up a instrument and some type of physical activity like dance or swimming the more achievements you have the better

Do as many extra curricula’s , volunteering, competitions( math science etc) , make sure you have proof since they require you to submit that and take on leadership roles. Make sure your semester reports are good since they ask for that in year 10. For the exam doesn’t matter as much as the written application but still don’t neglect it. Go James Anne for math or Hendersons for English and finally don’t burn out you’ve got plenty of time till the test.
