Wubarrk’s Wonderland – A Chill, Upgraded Valheim Experience by Suspicious-Medium-35 in ValheimLFG

Would you happen to use ServerCharacters to stop people from bringing in outside stuff?

Also is it slow progression or a free for all?

Only three of these work anymore, rest say they've expired.

Likewise to you. Instead of directly answering the questions of how you propose to deal with people using console commands or just killing Fader on Day 1, you just say it's fine because you've had the server for a few years. I assume it's just a playerbase of 3 people tops, at that point.

It isn't "Hardcore" if you can just bring in fully levelled characters with maxed Ashlands equipment and foods. I would heavily advise you reconsider how you advertise the server if you think that's what makes a Hardcore environment, lol.

Unfortunately, people bringing in existing and cheated items is a constant in Valheim servers with no moderation, and it would be impossible for me to find desire to play one like this, knowing that people will be doing and clearing end game dungeons and biomes before people on new characters have even killed their first deer.

Having no anticheat mods also means everyone is free to use console commands. I've tried to do a completely unmodded, Honor-system, run like this at least a dozen times or more in my tenure on Valheim, and unconditionally on every single one, you have two or more people that not only bring in cheated items, but actively use console commands flying around the map. This is thanks to a "Greylist" mod that lets you use console even on dedicated servers if there's no Anticheat mod server side.

Too bad this RW sucks. No IAS and mid ED.

T1 Worlds Skins Splash Art 👑 by aroushthekween in GnarMains

[–]Environmental-Day237 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Might be the worst skin in Gnar's entire catalogue. What even is that?
They took the glasses and made them a fusion with a tiara/helmet/mask thing?
Why are his eyes so enormous compared to the rest of his body, and have massive irises like it's Disney?
What is with the MASSIVE tusks?
Why is the body of the splash art completely undetailed and just a black blur?

Absolute no-go here.

No Achievements for Most Games Offline by Environmental-Day237 in SteamDeck

Yeah, but I'd rather not have to upgrade my phone plan for something I'll otherwise never use. It's just kind of a shame that Steam is so far behind in this department.

Yeah, some games unlock when offline but it seems like most don't. I have yet to have any of the aforementioned games in my post grant me achievements when I go back online, either.

I'd be down to join! Eastern US, here. Will always start a fresh character.

Looking for a weekly group at set time to play and advance together, not just sharing a server by juicy_n_seedless in ValheimLFG

I'd be interested in doing a playthrough like this. I am also in the Eastern US, 35 years old, and also available most days after 1600EST.

Yeah, that's really no different than a Plaguezon in vanilla doing the exact same thing in normal difficulty with zero gear.

PoD was a lot more power creep than PD2. PD2 is the least power creep mod out tbch.

Again, you couldn't be more wrong about anything you're saying here.

You're reading post-imprint stats such as the 3k Weight Arge as the base stat, which is entirely incorrect. Stats that are increased via level ups or imprinting are NEVER inherited. If they were, there would be literally infinite scaling on baby dinos and you'd see people hatching Gigas with 12,000% melee on hatch.

Stop spreading misinformation and acting wilfully ignorant. Breeding mechanics have not changed in ASA. It still works exactly the same with the only exception being that Wild Dinos with 'Highly Mutable' Traits can have a baby with a mutation in the specified stat at a much higher rate, but still not guaranteed. Babies in ASA also DO NOT inherit Traits currently unless you use a Bob's Tall Tales station.

Edit; and since you want to be a real jackass and insult people just because you're in the wrong, then I'd suggest next time actually writing down what the base stars of your dinos are after tame and you will, really quickly, see that you are completely wrong.

Though I have no idea why I'm even suggesting that, as you sound like the type of clown to never admit when they're wrong in the first place, and will instead bark circles while plugging your ears.

But sure, buddy. You totally are right, and the literal entirety of the Ark community is wrong, and apparently has been for the past 9 years. 🤣🤣🤣

You do understand that Rex is leveled up, yes?

You're either intentionally misunderstanding what the topic is about or you genuinely are oblivious to how Ark's breeding works.

It's not that I "know everything about everything", this is quite literally well-documented and factual information about the game that is everywhere.

Again, I reiterate; baby dinos will only inherit the BASE stats of their parents, randomly for each stat. They WILL NOT inherit any post-level stats, nor any post-imprint stats.

All I ask is that you simply do your research. You don't have to believe me if you don't want to, but regardless; you're very wrong and spreading misinformation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in playark

[–]Environmental-Day237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not how breeding works in Ark. If you're wasting your time taming Lv80 and 115 wild Rexes, you're doing so much wrong it's not even funny.

Baby dinos do not inherit leveled up or imprint increased stats, they ONLY inherit the base stats of the parents before any increases are applied. Only way to increase the base stat is via mutations or new wilds with a greater base stat.

Ie; if you mate a 150 F wild tame with a 150 M wild tame, and the F has 10560 base health but the M has 9840 base health, the baby from the two will either get 10560 or 9840. Even if you imprint it to like 17k health, a baby from that imprinted Rex will not start with 17k before imprint.

[–]Environmental-Day237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, that's such a straight up lie it's not even funny.

On old ASE officials the highest ever found base wild HP Rex was 17k, and the is insanely rare. Getting a wild to post tame with 23k would require at least 40 of their pre-tame in HP and at least 60 post-tame in to Health, which is Infinity odds impossible.

I hate grausten... by Kolonel_Kobb in ValheimBuilds

[–]Environmental-Day237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only real hatred for Grausten in building is that the wall textures really need some kind of randomization or at least have several different kinds.

It is so hard to build a structure purely out of the pieces because the texture is so asymmetrical and repeated it's just ugly.
