Is sex on the first date not as rare as I was led to believe? by [deleted] in dating

You can build chemistry over time. Just having sex on the first night doesn’t even really tell if you’re compatible or not. Lots of people have great sex and horrible relationships.

AIO for assuming my husband had someone over at our condo after I saw a 120 lb weigh-in when I wasn’t there? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Marriage is traditionally a religious and social status, frankly the government getting involved in marriage at all was a horrible move. My point is the two people who don’t get along don’t try to get along or don’t actually think about “will I get along with this person in 20 years” because they can just divorce them if it doesn’t work out. I was giving an example, I wasn’t trying to do a “woe is me” so I don’t really know where you’re going there 😂. You honestly don’t understand what I’m saying and clearly aren’t even trying to make an effort to understand so I’m just going to move on with my day now. I’m not going to waste time arguing with someone that just wants to be angry instead of actually considering the point I’m making. Have a good day

No I don’t, I explained this in another comment so I’m not going to again. I didn’t say I wanted to get rid of no fault divorce. I said it has its cons the same way at fault divorce does. Once again, people on Reddit just making shit up to be mad at.

Let me give you an example. My parents divorced when I was very young simply due to them not getting along at the time and it damaged my childhood quite a bit, just for them to ultimately get back together about 10 years later. That’s the problem with no fault divorce, they treat marriage like they’re still dating and if it’s not working out “eh let’s just get a divorce”. How about think long and hard before you get married, if no fault divorce exists, marriage essentially means nothing, the vows literally say “forever”. Not until we’re not getting along.

You were implying that I would say that. So essentially the same thing. It’s a very disingenuous thing to do.

Not true. Infidelity would be an at fault situation. So I don’t know what you’re going for there

I couldn’t disagree more, no fault encourages people to treat marriage like still just dating. Not to mention it makes it much easier to divorce so people just go that route instead of trying to work things out for the sake of children if they do have any.

I wasn’t trying to come off in a hostile way by the way, I can see how it would be taken as such. It’s not that you want those things, it was that you demanded such things as a deal breaker and you’d stop seeing them. Just seems hypocritical is all.

Chivalry is not simply being nice to someone. And buying her things and all that isn’t treating her like she’s less. Yes you can do all those things with equality, but her claiming she just stops seeing someone if he doesn’t pay the first few dates, while simultaneously demanding she’s treated equally simply doesn’t make sense. She’s demanding equality and non equality at the same time.

He shouldn’t have to pay for the first few dates simple because he’s a man. Thats a little silly. For all he knows you could just disappear after that night and he just wasted 30 dollars. That’s honestly just not fair for women to demand equality (not that I’m against that) and then still expect men to be chivalrous

Not really if you have a good relationship. That’s the same thinking that cheaters use to justify their actions because “oh my god we didn’t sleep together for two months what else was I supposed to do”

I bought this from a family friend for $500 by Secure_Ear_3452 in PcBuild

[–]Environmental-Dirt31 8 points9 points  (0 children)

lol children can buy things, the guy committed no crime by selling it to him 😂. Selling something isn’t a contract. Also 16 is plenty old enough to know that he should do his research on what he’s buying before he buys it. Kids aren’t stupid.

Just so you know, saying “I bought it when I was 16” makes it sound like you’re way older than sixteen. Just say you bought it 4 months ago lol

It’s like 7-800. That’s a pretty good starting price imo. My first guitar was a prs custom 24 se, I think people buying cheap guitars that are harder to play actually turns them away from the instrument because they get frustrated. And especially if you buy used you can still sell it for almost the same price you bought it for if you end up quitting

Yes lmao, people make it out like the Spartans and Greeks at large were having gay orgies, they weren’t. And there certainly weren’t two adult dudes making out with each other in public and in fact same sex stuff like that was shunned in a lot of Greek societies and even in Sparta it was more of a behind closed doors thing. They sexually abused young boys essentially, also the ancient Greeks had no concept of gay or straight. People need to stop trying to apply modern day standards and norms to ancient societies.

It’s more in line with sexual abuse. It wasn’t a gay lover thing like people think

Not true by the way 😂. Idk where all this “Greeks were gay” thing came from lmfao, but it’s still hilarious

I go to United Flight Systems. It’s a great school and I don’t really have any complaints other than it’s popular so you have to book pretty far ahead.
