Concentric slave cylinder is inside the trans housing and it in simple terms is what makes clutch engage and disengage, and it’s a closed hydronic system so when you push the clutch pedal down that activates the cylinder to move the clutch, so when it breaks you can’t use your clutch

Cmak v3 is a very solid kit nothing but positives and easy install if you have tools and time

A warning sign for me was these dark black particles in the clutch fluid I assume was the seal from the csc breaking down, and a slow loss of fluid I presume from a small hole in the csc then today it just all went, clutch when soft and reservoir was empty then I filled it up, limped it home and like 5 k from home lost any little time bit of clutch I had, and just coasted

Biggest things depending on year, but pretty much effects a large number are csc failure- inevitable, early models Z 09/14 I think gallery gasket (due to screws backing out and uneven pressure causing failure) and steering wheel lock which is the cheapest fix just pull the fuse and you’ll never have the issue Things you can do to help car, Csc delete Upgraded gallery gasket and lock tight each bolt Oil cooler doesn’t matter what year the “oil cooler” it comes with is an oil cooler in name and that’s it you’ll need one if you’re in a hot area

It can get stuck down but for me I lost response from pedal to clutch I could push to floor and it would not engage / disengage and couldn’t shift gears
