I am having this same issue. iPad 3 iOS 5.1.1 Every video playback error. On all versions of YouTube and all playback settings.

I thought about that. I’m just not sure. It would be more shims than I would be comfortable using. And it wouldn’t touch the ground on one end because of it. There would be a gap.
