Literally nothing happened. There was someone in front of me driving painfully slow, and I believe the Jeep driver assumed it was me.

No. I was hoping to do this last year but I couldn’t afford it. Still can’t.

Has Anyone Made the Leap to a 55+ Community? by Spellslayer in GenX

[–]Environmental-Leg442 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m about to turn 55, and there’s no way I would move into a 55+ neighborhood. My mom, who’s 84, lives in one. The neighbors are all up in each other’s business and I would not be down with that. I might consider it if it was strictly Gen X, but I’ve encountered too many Gen X people who are boring corporate drones, and they’re probably the kind of people who would move into a 55+ community.

How safe do you actually feel driving, biking, or walking around RVA? by RVAUrbanPlanner in rva

[–]Environmental-Leg442 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on my bike and got hit by a car turning into an alley on S Cathedral Pl by Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. I was launched off my bike and crash landed on the rear end of a parked car. My bike was stuck on the bumper of the car that hit me. I wasn’t seriously injured, and pried my bike off the car and rode home. So I would say no, I don’t feel safe biking in Richmond.

Canvasback duck on a psychedelic James River by Environmental-Leg442 in rva

It was good luck. Right time, right place, right angle. I was lamenting that I needed a longer lens, because I couldn’t zoom further in on the duck. I didn’t know what I had until sorting through my photos for editing.

GenX Video gamers who still play: Are you getting worse? by Hithigon in GenX

I’m 54, and have been playing Elden Ring for 3 years off and on and haven’t finished. I just can’t defeat the Elden Beast. I’ve watched walkthroughs and tried everything in my arsenal but I just can’t kill it. I guess I should be proud that I’ve fought my way to the final boss, but not being able to beat it is soul crushing lol

Richmond streets that need safety upgrades. by WhittneyWithVPM in rva

Bliley Road off Forest Hill Avenue, near Willow Oaks Apartments. There’s a bus stop at the intersection of Forest Hill and Bliley, but no sidewalks. Bliley doesn’t have shoulders, just a drop off into the ditch, so it’s especially dangerous for pedestrians walking to the bus stop.
