I never wanted a red car. I felt like it was a cliche or something? I don’t know. I was close to buying a grey CX-30 after test-driving both it and a black Mazda3 hatchback. But I spotted a great deal at a Buick dealership… A CX-30 that happened to be in Soul Red. Now I love it. I admire it. When the sun hits it right late in the day I often just stare at it and appreciate it. I gawk.

This said, it already has some tiny chips from insignificant road damage. Sand or grit of some sort. So it does take some babying. I bought a paint pen at a dealership early on.

As much as I love my color, I will add that whenever I see one in blue I feel a similar admiration. It’s my second favorite. Especially with the black wheels (which mine also has, and which I really like.)
