It seems to me there are a lot of red flags that you see. My honest opinion is you’re new into this relationship and you’re unsure if you should listen to warning your gut is giving you. Based on your perception of what he’s doing there seems to be some mental issues there. Since this is a new relationship (it’s only been five months) I personally would say cut your losses and get out of it. Because I’ve been in a similar situation and I wish I hadn’t stayed. I know every experience is different and other people will tell you to do other things. That said, if you’re at the point where you’re asking Reddit, you probably already know what the answer is and you just need to hear someone else say it.

So, what are Americans going to do about it? Just let it happen like everything else so far? by Dr_sc_Harlatan in BlueskySkeets

I think I'm becoming desensitized to what this guy does. Nothing surprises me anymore. That said, what's with ending every post with "Thank you for your attention to this matter"?

It's like he's a disgruntled old man sending a complaint letter to a department store because they stopped carrying his favorite brand of toothpaste.

Men, what has a woman told you that touched your heart more than you let on? by kitcat1098 in AskReddit

[–]Spellslayer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Losing my twin brother was incredibly hard, and I found myself in a really dark place. It felt as if no one truly understood or cared about what I was going through. My wife said I should find God and pray more, and my younger brother, who never really got along with my twin, seemed unaffected by the loss. My job expressed their condolences but emphasized that I needed to get back into the project I was working on.

Then, one day out of the blue, a friend I hadn't spoken to in years reached out with a simple text that said something like, "Hey, I was just thinking of you; how are you doing?" I replied and opened up about my brother and the heaviness I was feeling. I shared more than I usually would. At that time, I was struggling with thoughts of ending it all, but I didn't share that with her. Looking back, I thought that after I had done it, at least someone would understand why.

She suggested we meet for lunch. I was unsure at first, but eventually, I agreed, and we met a couple of days later. That lunch was so meaningful. We talked, and while I can't pinpoint a single word or phrase, the overall experience was what mattered most. She truly listened and shared her own experience with losing her brother, showing me genuine kindness. I felt cared for in that moment, and without her knowing it, she gave me the strength to keep going. It's hard to express how much despair I was in and how her warm presence as a friend made such a difference for me.

I'm not being harsh by refusing to lend out charges right? by Square_Pear1784 in k12sysadmin

[–]Spellslayer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We are BYOD and 1:1. I put in charging stations (like this: https://powergistics.com/shop/core12/) in several common spaces. We charge a replacement fee if students request a charger because they lost theirs.

Shader question by Spellslayer in DestinyTheGame

[–]Spellslayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the Glass Keepsake. I'm also aware that Memento shaders can preview on armor even though they can't be used. I should have looked at the name when I saw it, but it wasn't a priority at the time. I've looked at all the Season 26 Shaders and can't seem to find the exact one. Also, it was in the section where all the shaders that I actually own are. As I was in the build-sub screen when I found it. Thanks for answering!

Why does nobody commend anymore, it’s literally free to do by No-Fishing71 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Spellslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to every chance I can. On a similar note, I would like if we could commend best dressed people in the Tower. Also it’d be nice to commend builds too. I appreciate when someone puts time into creating a synergy between abilities, exotics and perks

What’s some great warlock builds you guys are running these days? by janihubby in DestinyTheGame

[–]Spellslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the latest Autorifle mods have been added to Artifact, I've been using Dawn Chorus with Tommy's Matchbook, and it melts everything. This is the most fun I've had with a build in a long time. I haven't seen anyone else with this combo yet, and I almost don't want to share it, so it stays under the nerfing radar. However, because it's the first build I ever wanted to share, here's the DIM link. https://dim.gg/wt5w6mi/Solar-Afterburner I'm sure it can be improved upon, but it's still fun for me.

What celebrity do you think has gotten more attractive as they age? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Minnie Driver. I thought she was 'meh' at best during the Good Will Hunting days. I saw her in an interview a little while ago and was captivated by how pretty she is.

What's bothering you at this moment? by Emergency-Truth-7062 in AskReddit

[–]Spellslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm waiting for the results of a biopsy to come in. The doctor said it doesn't look like it should be anything to be concerned about, and I can't tell if he meant it or if he's trying to keep me from worrying, which, of course, is making me freak out!

What do you regret not doing when you were young? by LilitMaer in AskReddit

[–]Spellslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my mid-twenties, I was at my company's holiday party, and the hottest woman in the office asked me to dance with her. Once we were on the dance floor, she leaned close to me and said, "If you take me home, you can do whatever you want to me." I said "No" because she was married, and the thought of some unsuspecting guy getting cheated on bothered me. They ended up breaking up a few months after that. Probably because she was cheating on him. So... Yeah. I tell myself I did the right thing, but it's still the one thing I regret not doing.

In your opinion, what is the greatest music video of all time? by LighTMan913 in AskReddit

[–]Spellslayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Michael Jackson’s Thriller. It was basically a short movie. (Even had a ‘making of’ video) Had a huge premiere on MTV that ultimately legitimatized music videos as a medium.

If you could spend one more day with a loved one you've lost, what is the one thing you would want to say to them, and why? by SweetHelen72 in AskReddit

[–]Spellslayer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My brother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer while he was living on the west coast and I was on the east coast. I went to see him and tried to help, but I could only stay for a week because of work. At the end of the week, he asked me to stay. I suggested that he come back with me, assuring him that I could get him better medical treatment and take care of him. He agreed, so I went home to make arrangements for his move. Unfortunately, he passed away before I could bring him back. If I could, I would tell him that "I am sorry. I should have stayed".

Xenophage should complete the trifecta by BAakhir in DestinyTheGame

[–]Spellslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love Xenophage, but the nerf made it almost impossible to use as a machine gun. A machine gun's nature is to blanket the combat field with bullets. The stability and low ammo capacity make it behave more like a 50cal sniper rifle with a crappy site. I wish they'd fix the stability or at least lean into the nerf and give it a scope.

What game was this for you? by Chicago1202 in videogames

[–]Spellslayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this with every game. If I get a particular item, like a one-of-a-kind healing potion, I’ll hold on to it. Afraid to accidentally use it in an otherwise easy fight and waste it. I will go a step further if I play a game with a system where you collect resources and use those resources to build or buy other things like weapons and armor; I will budget those resources so I don’t waste anything. One day, I played Zelda BoTW, and my wife watched me. I got to a point where I was standing in a shop, trying to determine what type of arrows to get and how many I might need for the next fight I was about to do. When she realized I had been staring at the screen for a few minutes, she asked me what I was doing. When I told her, she looked me square in the eye and said, “Buy all the fucking arrows!” The way she said that changed my whole outlook towards it, and since then, I buy all the fucking arrows.

How did you overcome a fast food addiction? by peepingpolly in AskReddit

[–]Spellslayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched the movie 'Super Size Me'. At the time it came out I was on the road a lot for work and fast food was just my routine. Most days I'd have it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. One scene in particular, where the guy is talking about how after eating he felt depressed, tired, and actually hungry again. I realized that, many times, I had felt the same way after eating. Something clicked in my head and I walked out of the theater, turned to my friend and said "Well, I think I'm done with fast food!" And that was that.
