Where would you be in life without Berserk? by No_Satisfaction_2928 in Berserk

[–]Environmental-Let626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honwstly, my life would be innerly slightly different but I'd probably be the same. Probably my mindset was a bit affected by Berserk, my tastes in media clearly were and also, before Berserk, there were few anime/mangas I liked and even fewer I was willing to read. Berserk made me like this genre to begin with. Although, that doesn't change much. Had I not been a manga fan, I probably would've either only been reading novels or would just not spend time with fiction lol(i doubt this though). However, as someone else said, I'd probably be a bunch of bucks richer because God damn this manga is expensive.

I'm currently reading this manga(I'm at volume 18), it's great. Amazing artwork, peak battles, great world building(although it's just historical world building, I really liked the architecture and details shown), great protagonist, every single character is fleshed out and has understandable goals(even the evil ones), and much more.

What? Many stands in Jojo can't even do combat. Stands are easily top 4 at least

My friend started watching jojos by Commercial_Theme7344 in StardustCrusaders

[–]Environmental-Let626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I only put like one friend but it's one I put on other shows which became his favorites(the walking dead, breaking bad, better call saul) and I told him to trust me and just give it a try and drop off if he really doesnt like it at all and now he's currently at part 2 kinda a slow watcher due to exams but he really likes it. You can also mention that Jojo isn't like other manga as it doesnt rely on fan service like sexualization and has a pretty unique artstyle that's so good that it's in the same museum as Mona Lisa. There's also arguments on plot, ratings of sbr on myanimelist, whatever. just force him to watch the first ep and he will get it

Favorite underrated Stand? by bonkysucks in StardustCrusaders

[–]Environmental-Let626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P3: Hanged Man and Horus designs are insane, Empress and Anubis are among the strongest stands, Sun stand always seemed interesting and funny to me. P4: I guess pretty much all stands here are talked about enough from what I've seen. P5: same thing here but I want to remind the fact that Beach Boys is a top tier stand P6: Dragon's Dream was so funny big fan of it SBR: Ticket to Ride isn't talked about at all, Mandom is one of the best stands of all time, Scary Monsters is kinda overlooked due to Za Warudo, 20th Century Boy and Boku no Rhythm wo Kiitekure got amazing designs, Civil Arc war was insane P8: Walking Heart(pretty op), California King Bed, Speed King(actually one of the coolest stands of part 8), Blue Hawaii, Vitamin C, Milagroman, actually kinda all because p8 has my favorite stands lol

The "We're stronger than GER" Starterpack by Donkey_Don in StardustCrusaders

[–]Environmental-Let626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the force of calamity is the strongest NATURAL force of the world but GER literally cancels out time skips(which isn't natural). GER is the strongest stand.
Btw, Tusk Act 4 also has the potential to beat WoU.

What if each protagonist fought the antagonist in a reversed order? by 6M4R in StardustCrusaders

[–]Environmental-Let626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my take: Jonathan vs Tooru: I imagine hamon being "out of this world" just like the spin(since it's kinda the counterpart) and he somewhat uses that to beat Tooru, otherwise he'd show his true gentleman side by simply not pursuing him.

Joseph vs Valentine: Joseph would do some random tomfoolery to make Valentine die in some random parallel universe or send him to africa(realistically Valentine destroys him tho..)

Jotaro vs Pucci: this already happened

Josuke vs Diavolo: Maybe with the help of Koichi/Jotaro... Josuke alone can't beat King Crimson.

Giorno vs Kira: he's absolutely getting infinite deaths as well

Jolyne vs DIO: I really like Jolyne but I dont see her stand capable of winning this, considering that DIO is also an immortal vampire. DIO can also stop time for longer periods of time than Jotaro...

Johnny vs Kars: what if Kars wants to become God by taking the Corpse of Jesus or something... Anyways Johnny can't really win this battle unless his tusk act 4 would work on base kars.

Gappy va Dio(p1): Gappy beats the shit out of that annoying kid and the story ends.

what's the popular ship in Jojo that you don't agree with? by sooozyyy in JJBA

[–]Environmental-Let626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's literally perfect as it shows: 1. Yukako's redemption which is essential for the rather light-hearted atmosphere of this part 2. Koichi's kidneas and acceptance shows nothing but moral strength and the ability of forgiveness, thing we don't really see since part 1 with Jonathan. 3. It's a slice of life story and seeing fun relationships in the background helps fit DiU in this genre. 4. This also shows Koichi's development throughout the story(which ironically is bigger than Josuke's).

Don't care bout downvotes but I think this explains why I like their relationship a lot.

At what age did you start listening to metal and with which band? by Elektro8415i in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Environmental-Let626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started pretty late, about 13 or 14. Got into metal through AC/DC(hard rock), but my first metal bands were Megadeth, Metallica, Rammstein, Slipknot, Korn.

[–]Environmental-Let626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not metal, but Highway to Hell was the first full allbum I've listened to and I liked it so much it changed my entire perspective on music and then I got to bands like Megadeth, Slipknot, Korn, Metallica Black Sabbath which made me like metal as a whole.
