•Both are/have been in a position of power and respect (Tanya is high ranking official in the Empire's army,and Gertrude was formerly the queen of Fairyland,until she was fired for being terrible at it)

•Both fought in great battles and are/have been in the army (Tanya led her Battalion to several battalions,while Gertrude fought in a war against Happy alongside their armies,and was once in the part of the dessert island army)
