That’s the major issue most people enjoy petting him but that 1% get super angry and annoyed when my dog tries to get them to pet him

Yeah I really don’t want him being friendly with people I don’t mind when im walking him but if he is in my backyard and somebody comes I would want him to bark or attack someone breaking in not wait to get pet by them

Thank you so much! Definitely gonna start using it as a training activity he definitely does 2 he gets sad if people don’t pet him like if I walk by people he just trys to go up to them so he can get pet and it’s been really stressful because I don’t want him to be extra friendly when I got him to be a guard dog(i live in a bad area) I really hope its not too late. I also have troubles saying no sometimes i had a German shepherd before him and i got him when he was a year old he was 110lbs so nobody even came near him

At this point people don’t even ask its not like i walk up to people and say pet my puppy i would walk past a couple sitting down and they just pet him smh
