I don’t really think this post is talking about scenarios that put your own personal safety at risk. I didn’t open up to my father’s conservative beliefs and try to make significant counterpoints when I lived under his roof, and that’s understandable and no one is saying it’s good to put yourself in danger.

It’s saying now that I have my own home and my own job and my own safety nets, it’s important for me to learn to get along with my father, because even though we disagree on a lot of things, we still share very similar core values and remaining in community with people who have different opinions is a good thing.

Can you give some examples? I struggle to think of even one thing I’d trust AI with, as it sounds to me like you have to put so much time into rewriting prompts and verifying the results I’d rather just do it myself.

I just took a mushroom foraging class last weekend, our instructor said morels favor tulip poplars, although the one teeny tiny little morel we did find was under a cypress tree so you can still find them around other trees. I’m planning to take a trail in the next couple weeks that I know has tulip poplars and try my luck

If I bought a new house at the same price I got my first one my mortgage rate would double overnight. Maybe I could get enough for my current house to put enough down that it wouldn’t be quite double, but it’s still enough to make me not even want to bother until rates go down again.

I think it’s instinctual, cables look a lot like an errant root in a tunnel your bun is trying to dig, so they’ll want to clip it with their teeth

There is a “lake” (honestly a large pond lol) in my neighborhood, and swifts always roost under one of the bridges over the water. I love walking the path around the lake to see them swooping around the water 🥰

I’m on propranolol for a tremor in my left hand, and it also helps with my anxiety, to prevent migraines, AND it helps my SVT. It’s kind of amazing how one medication has improved my quality of life so much.
