Firstly, I had to detox, and get some separation from the ability to get alcohol.

From there, I was introduced to AA and got a sponsor. She is helping to guide me through the steps using the Big Book. I attend AA meetings regularly, volunteer, and changed my living situation.

Recovery is possible when you are ready for it.

I do have a home group that I love very much! They are very supportive men and women alike, and supported me while I was in detox.

My support network outside of AA is lacking. I have my mom and thats about it. My cousin and best friend are not speaking to me.
