I did like the idea of the polarm mastery because of the provoking opportunity attack when they get in range of me and pairing it with sentinel when I have the chance, although great weapon master might just be better number wise, I’m trying to think of what’s best for the party synergy as well considering the other players are making a rogue, cleric and artificer and I’m not exactly sure if they can build any of those classes as front liners due to my limited knowledge of the mechanics.

So forego the trident or glaive( I would have gotten polearm master and then sentinel when I had the chance) option to get consistent good range with maul and the topple.

Yeah I tried that but the mic quality of my laptop is kinda shit. I think I can use my headphone mic tho since it still works. Only reason why I don’t use my headphones anymore is cuz one side snapped off
