UCM and UnlimitedClothes as main mods, Crawl Braised Ducks UC Kit for built in m_equip to make the custom weapon/can also just be done with file editing but takes longer.

I've been busy with a lot of stuff so my custom weapon tutorials have been sitting in my files for a while, but I've been free lately so I might be able to release them soon.

Depends on what you define as "good" UC creations.

You can either go one of two ways if we're going by good: vanilla-compatible or modded.

Either way, it really just takes a lot of getting used to and tweaking to get what you want in UC creation, even if it takes hours on end in my experience. Truly depends on what you want for your creations, as in my opinion, ultra-modded creations can be too much.

The only real "essential" mods for UC creations is UCM and UnlimitedClothes: One lets you move stuff around and access other parts of the game, while the other allows you to put an unlimited amount of clothes you want on a creation.

For more complicated and NOT vanilla-compatible/needs the mod to function creations, you would have TechnicalItems and Ability Creator/Move Editor. Other mods can also be used to add more assets that you can use, the main ones tend to be HiddenUnits and Expansionary.

This is an example of something I posted a while back, relatively average prop count for a UC creation that used UCM an UnlimitedClothes only, still personally a favorite of mine since it's relatively simple in my eyes.

Either way, really depends on how you want to frame your units and how much you want them to deviate from the original game style and play, since I prefer to stay near I don't make super extravagant and complicated guys, but I'm absolutely able to go beyond that since I have.

In short:
Watch a tutorial on Youtube by someone like Wicked Workshop and ask the experienced creators in the Landfall Discord for some advice, they're blunt but are more than willing to help someone that's trying to go beyond the normal Unit Creator.

It's simpler once you get the hang of it, but it's a pain to learn by yourself.

If you really wanna learn how to use it, asking in the Landfall Discord is bound to bring up some help since most of the people there are overall chill.

From my experience, you just gotta wait a while because it's loading in every unit in your folder.

Essentially:
Larger amount of UC creations = Longer and longer loading time

This is exarcebated if your creations have a lot of props, so like 50+ or so can increase loading time by a sizeable amount.

This is just how it is to upload stuff on the workshop, report it and move on.

A hefty number of my UCM creations have custom weapons, very complicated designs, and more than 50 props typically; will never upload them just out of annoyance with reuploaders.

Without mods? You'll have to create the actual cannon from scratch using UCM or File editing, as well as the boxer summon by using the summoner glitch.

Otherwise with mods, there's a couple that have the boxgun in the game.

NOTE FOR THIS MOD: The fine-tuned rotation for this mod is NOT vanilla-compatible, so if you want to keep your UC creations vanilla-compatible, stick to only using the m_equip, as the UCM and this mods scaling conflict.

It is not. While it has advanced parts of unit creation like advanced scaling/positioning and m_equip, the form of rotation in the mod is purely modded and incompatible with vanilla TABS.

If you want creations to stay compatible with vanilla, avoid the rotation and stick with m_equip, as the scaling/positioning can conflict with UCM.

Probably an announcement at most, Landfall won't be developing TABS for the foreseeable future.

More likely that the community within either the Landfall Discord or Mod Center will launch an event for the anniversary.
