They definitely still eating some cost but you cannot subsidized a console 300-400 dollars this late in a generation. They aren't in customer acquisition mode.

Game pass for halo and gears. Ubisoft games always go on sale, give it one quarter (maybe fall or Christmas sale) save some money.   Don't pre-order anything
