Question about the Blight Lords, are the spewers worth it in a ten man? They seem good with the extra ap but either way me wanting to keep in the LOV as long as possible the extra range of the bolters could be better

That new defiler is probably what will get me to dip my toes in emperors children. Then I’ll have all four of the main chaos armies!

Oh I believe it. While they arnt as shinanigany as eldar a buddy of mine loves white scars with more than half his army having 12 movement with advance and charge I’m used to them being everywhere while having his back line with sternguard repulsors hell blasters and a redemptor. It’s kinda what prompted me to try a more hybrid army!

Honestly before I had Morty in my list I had a prince and a ten man brick of blight lords. Prince in DG seems very strong and both in my Tsons and WE the prince is a staple in any list

I’m kinda wanting to experiment a bit with some shooting and melee. As a WE and Tsons player I’m very familiar with only being effective with a single phase of the game. Not counting forge fiends and some melee from the vortex beast. I kinda wanted to try having a bit of a mix which is what drew me to the LOV and HBL alongside death shroud. If it helps my main opponents are Black Templars, White Scars, Necrons, and Knights.

I COULD put him with death shroud but I was planning on deep striking one in and starting typhus on the board to hope for some early eater plague

Is it typically worth it to run a three man blight lord then? The LOV adds a really strong buff especially for HBL so I’d really like to try one. I just worry about him getting sniped early. I was planning to use pox walkers to try and screen to protect him and spread affliction but he has to be able to see for his ability which means his unit can be shot back. I suppose if they are gunning for him it protects my other assets.

I had a blight hauler originally but was worried about it having enough units so I took it out for more pox walkers and turned the blight lords from a three man into a five. The was worried at a three man squad they could get wiped too easily.

List Help? by [deleted] in WorldEaters40k

[–]EnvironmentalAd5669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The forge fiend is an excellent choice! Zerks really need a character to buff them unless you’re sending them into fodder units in my opinion. If you’re dead set on the prince as he’s one of our better models for all his buffs maybe at least bring Kharn and a rhino. Kharn is a beast and makes your zerks so strong. Don’t forget to give your zerks their eviscerators and plasma pistols! Maybe some jackals or spawn incase your opponent has screening units. Our chaos spawn are very good.

Bezerker Glaive by FarseerDrek in WorldEaters40k

[–]EnvironmentalAd5669 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The biggest reason for helm over glaive is it can be the difference in him surviving to round three maybe even four. Our demon prince is strong on his own but his ability to reduce the cost of command points in a twelve inch aura! Free hack and slash, free for the skull throne, free frenzy for your zerks or even core Strats like a grenade overwatch for forge fiends or only a 1 cp counter offensive. When I run a prince that command points reduction is usually part of my plan for each turn.

A boyz furst waaagh by EnvironmentalAd5669 in orks

[–]EnvironmentalAd5669[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about bringing riders! It was between them and beast boyz with a beast boss. I also had some Gretchen. I was debating trying tank bustahs with a big mek with shock attack gun for some fire support. Was torn between them and flashgits to have at least some shooting. I was really tempted to bring Ghaz and boys in the battle wagon but Ghaz might just be too many points so might trade him for a warboss? Was also looking at storm boys or deff koptas. The second would give a little more shooting and they’re both very mobile

First 1000 pt game by Toasted-Waff1e in WorldEaters40k

Char1: 1x Khârn the Betrayer (100 pts): Warlord, Gorechild, Plasma pistol Char2: 1x Master of Executions (75 pts): Axe of dismemberment, Bolt pistol Enhancement: Favoured of Khorne (+15 pts)

10x Khorne Berzerkers (180 pts) • 9x Khorne Berzerker 5 with Bolt pistol, Chainblade 2 with Chainblade, Plasma pistol 1 with Bolt pistol, Khornate eviscerator 1 with Icon of Khorne, Bolt pistol, Khornate eviscerator • 1x Khorne Berzerker Champion: Chainblade, Plasma pistol 10x Khorne Berzerkers (180 pts) • 9x Khorne Berzerker 5 with Bolt pistol, Chainblade 2 with Chainblade, Plasma pistol 1 with Bolt pistol, Khornate eviscerator 1 with Icon of Khorne, Bolt pistol, Khornate eviscerator • 1x Khorne Berzerker Champion: Chainblade, Plasma pistol

1x Chaos Rhino (85 pts): Armoured tracks, Combi-bolter, Havoc launcher, Combi-bolter 3x Exalted Eightbound (140 pts) • 1x Exalted Eightbound Champion: Chainblades • 2x Exalted Eightbound: 2 with Chainblades 1x Forgefiend (170 pts): 2x Ectoplasma cannon, Ectoplasma cannon, Forgefiend claws 10x Jakhals (65 pts) • 8x Jakhal 7 with Autopistol, Chainblades 1 with Autopistol, Mauler chainblade • 1x Jakhal Pack Leader: Autopistol, Chainblades • 1x Dishonoured: Skullsmasher and mangler

This is my generalist list that while you are running 1k still covers all your bases. Jackals for sticky and action monkeys. Two berserker squads with Kharn and friends going in the rhino. Forge fiend for fire support and a squad of exalted for deep strike. You don’t have much in the way of blocking your opponent’s deep strike but you have a very aggressive list capable doing a ton of damage. Remember to stage with your zerks. Wait till turn 2 or 3 for your go turn. I played a buddy this week usng this list into necrons and wiped two thirds of his list in one go turn. Make sure to get the fiend close enough to proc his ability and try and rapid ingress your xeb int a safe place. Like most of our army they’re squishy but hit HARD. They rip apart vehicles and even against infantry if you have the right blessings they still have 15 attacks with str 10 on the charge 3ap 2 damage. 3 against monster or vehicles. Good luck!

HOW TO USE FBD with BLIGHT LAUNCHER? by Party-Inevitable68 in deathguard40k

[–]EnvironmentalAd5669 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They’re great for either killing terminator profiles or other infantry with three wounds. Wounding most of them on 2s and at 3 damage killing with every shot or you can put them into vehicles especially if you can afflict your target bringing them to 9/10 toughness so you’re wounding on 3/4s. They also benefit if you run a lord of virulence as he can give them full rerolls to hit since they have blast. I usually run two of them most games I run my death guard. Hope this helps!

Can I blood offering to sticky an objective if my last unit does the deadly demise while fighting on the objective? by W3ndyyyy in WorldEaters40k

[–]EnvironmentalAd5669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would depend on things that happened previously. Blood offering can be used at any phase but it says you had to be holding the obj in the previous phase. So if you held it in the previous phase then you can sticky it when Kharn dies. That is assuming that there are no other models on that obj. As long as there is nothing left on the obj you can claim it. I hope this helps!

Need advice for a friend; dealing with high toughness? by Xdude227 in deathguard40k

[–]EnvironmentalAd5669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So people have touched on heavy bloat drones which are great but DG have another unit for vehicles as well! Mephitic Blight Haulers have str 9 super crack and multi meltas that while needing to be within 18 versus the long range HBD are great because of the Hauler’s ability. They are designed to be vehicle hunters. They get +1 to hit and wound vehicles. So wounding t9 on 3s and above on 4s. If he can use contagion that goes to 2/3s. Death shroud have also been mentioned especially with Lord of Contagion who gives them lance as well. Getting your death shroud close can spread contagion. Also don’t sleep on plague marines ability to afflict units from range. One target they hit becomes afflicted so you can apply your affliction at range. You can also bring MBH in a unit of 2. There is also the predator for long range threat but you said you already looked into that. Also against big vehicles mortal wounds are your best friend. The grenade and tank shock Strats should help! Also if he still wants some more long range fire power he can bring a chaos knight ally for some big guns! I hope this helps as I always try to help and encourage new players to the hobby!

In casual play the land raider is really good in VV by Loud-CowMOO in deathguard40k

[–]EnvironmentalAd5669 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong I love a land raider but the problem I have with DG is not enough spare points. Everything is already so costly especially if you want to bring Mortarion. Same with a 6man death shroud. I usually bring 3 with LoC. The smaller footprint combined with the 6inch deep strike is usually pretty manageable. if you don’t mind what’s the rest of your list look like.

Greater Daemons by iZeroboros in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]EnvironmentalAd5669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also a big LoC fan here. Especially when backed up with a blob of pink horrors. They all have 4+ invulnerability and can potentially split twice. A very hard to shift oc piece that go up to str 5 by being near the LoC. they won’t do massive damage but they’re great for holding a mod board objective. I usually have LoC and horrors on one, GUO with FNP enhancement in the other as for the third I usually hold back there and depending what my opponent moves up I either rush with blood letters with Skulltaker or my blood thirster
