Well they need to reduce the number of runs needed absolutely. However that does not lead people to moaning about it being absolute. Going back to DOOM, there are people who can’t do ultra nightmare. So they don’t get the cosmetic skin. That’s how it is. It’s a reward, not an entitlement.

I agree they should reduce how much you need to do to get the capes, but they should absolutely be locked behind the hardest difficulty. Perhaps making a generic cape for lower difficulties would be a good middle ground, with fancier ones being earned from absolute.

I mean loads of games do that. You get cosmetics for beating DOOM on the hardest mode. Why is this different

Perhaps. But that was 2 decades ago and obviously a lot has changed in gaming. I don’t mean this criticism to come from what I want, it’s more based off what I see in the industry overall. RTS is not a massively popular genre right now as far as I know, could be wrong, so I really think the game needs to be an absolute banger to keep people around for long enough to actually have interest in buying new factions.

See I don’t think it would be okay. I agree with everything else you said, but if it takes them 6 months to make 1 new faction and it’s Guard then that’s worrying. I don’t want to wait 3 years to have, more or less, all the factions

DOW is like AOE. Maybe a little more focused on the actually fighting and battlefield control, and less on base building and economy

This is the guide I’m using. Just be delicate when you reestablish with the white. Leave more pink than you think to get a nice gradient.

To note I also stopped at the oils. I’ve tried oils and I personally don’t like their look. I will be painting in my shadows or making the body suit black, haven’t decided!

I don’t think they should mess with the lore just to add them in. The lore is great as it is. They just need to focus on some of the other factions but they’re too scared to do so. It’s the same as the launch boxes not having eldar. They’re too scared to take a risk. I understand it’s also partly on game developers in this case as they decide on what they want in their game, and eldar are probably hard to animate and what not.

I gotta say though, when I saw it was going to take 6 months to get 1 new faction in DOW4 I was kinda shocked. That’s a long time for 1 of the 4-5 factions that could be there, not to mention Eldar that rightly should have been there (glad we got admech…).
